Epic drop
Woot rare drops!
So I was running Scholomance two days ago because I REALLY needed to get Searing Words. It would replace my 450 trinket which was also my last 450 piece I had on me.
I think it was my like 8th time running this stupid place and I had yet to even see Searing Words drop. Then all of a sudden, I had the best dungeon run of my entire life.
The damage I was doing on my rogue was only slightly under what the tank was doing so I was really happy with that fact. In fact my damage was higher then his until we hit the 4th mob.
Then, out of no where, Vulajin's Vicious Breastplate freaking drops! I was the ONLY one in there who could need on it so I got it. Then we got the rare mob in there. Then on the last boss Searing Words, an Epic staff, and another epic item all drop! It was so glorious! We all just kind of stood there in disbelief. It was by far the best dungeon run any of us had ever done and will probably ever do.
I then told my guildies what all had happened and all of them were shocked. "I have never even heard of an epic dropping from a heroic!" was the most common response.
So woot! Perfect day is perfect! This also bumps my girls gearscore ranking to 416 for the rogues on my realm and to 8599 for my entire realm.
I shall soon break top 100 and top 1000!
Why I love Sha
I have been trying to grind dungeons over the past few days for a couple of reason. One being that I wanted to get my ilevel up over 470 so I could check out the rest of the raids. In order to get this, I needed at least one Windswept Pages from Temple of the Jade Serpent. I also wanted to get my rep up to exalted with the Huojin.
Finally, after about 6 runs, I got my Windswept Pages and it pushed me right 470. Of course I wanted to get rid of my ilevel 450 trinket so I decided to run it again. It came up but the hunter got it. Boo! Then I got bored of running that place over and over again so I moved on.
I decided to check out Sha since I knew I was able to roll for loot again. We took him down (which was a bit of a gongshow) and then I got to roll.
Aaaaaaand.....
I got GLOVES OF THE THOUSDANFOLD BLADES!!!! My first ever 496 drop!
Now I want to get the rest of the set!
Epic Drop: Day 2
Yesterday I woke up pretty sore from the day before--don't knock it! I literally did not work out at all for months prior. I'm really out of shape. That said, I was down to 214.8--likely most of the loss due to regular weight fluctuation and food intake. Not eating after 6pm is really hard! :( Food intake: 2 cookies, 1 PB sandwich, 4 bottles of deer park water, 1 can of coca-cola, 2 wendy's dollar chicken sandwiches (plain), 1 large wendy's fry. I decided to treat my folks and myself yesterday, them because they cleaned the garage out enough to where I can finally use our Bowflex, and myself because I saw a McDonald's bag in the kitchen and couldn't resist any longer. Workout: Power walk (1.5 miles) Preacher curl (50 reps, 3 sets each arm, 5lbs weight) I ended up forgetting about the sit-ups, and by the time we finished with LFR in WoW (thanks to the server hiccup) I was far too tired to do them and really needed to get to bed for work today.
Epic Drop: Day 1
Epic Drop is going to be posts about my progress towards losing weight and hopefully building some muscle tone--ultimately with the goal of getting into shape for health reasons. At the start of this I weighed in at 217.4lbs, quite a bit heavier than I'd like to be. My "healthy weight" is considered to be 150~160, and I'll even attest to feeling much better then than I do right now. I forgot by now what I've eaten on this day, but I remember the workout: Power walk (1.5 miles) Preacher curl (50 reps, 3 sets, both arms--5lbs weight) Sit-ups (10 reps, 5 sets) Not very much, and I want to increase my free weight quite a bit.
