Check out Bikewanderer.com to follow one amazing tour! This was just his warm up, he is just now beginning his trip from Alaska to Argentina. I am very excited about being a part of this trip by building the wheels that will carry him across many countries and even into an entirely new hemisphere!
90 shows, in 5 months…I think
I am undertaking the largest touring journey I have ever done. 90 shows, in 5 months, I think. With that many shows, its sort of hard to know exactly how many because devotional gatherings, spontaneous jams and last minute concerts pop their heads up and off you go and you're never really sure what was a real concert.
Touring is physically very exhaustive for instance on Wednesday I will be on a bus at 7am for 10 hours, taking a 3 hour break in a station and then back on a bus for another 3 hours. I'm also gluten free, which makes eating on the road a touch tricky. Luckily I have incredible hosts who often pack me lunches and I believe I am given superhero strength to assist me from the Abha Kingdom.
With this tour, I thought I'd write about my actual shows and the people who inspire me as a way of documenting the whole event. I'm not sure if its useful to you, but if it is please let me know.
The first stop…Minneapolis!
