    “I think I would totally have given you a free pass on that one if you had had a sword in your hand, y’know? Or, I’d just have accepted it if you decided to stab me for it.” She’d been caught unawares with knives for a lot less on the Isle. She gave a small shrug as Lonnie asked if she didn’t have anything better to do. “I’ve probably got half a dozen jobs or assignments or lessons waiting for me. That’s sort of why I’m hiding in dark corners.”

i’m not discouraged, honestly. i just wanna figure out why i’m having a much easier time writing a character i don’t relate to as much as i do with kar

Sara had planned for attack not her kiss being received so well. She was starting to wonder if Nyssa felt for her genuinely. But tossed the idea aside holding onto her anger instead. It was easier to be angry then let herself be vulnerable. What did she really know about Nyssa anyway? Except that kissing her once more seemed really tempting. Hating her for it and just how attractive she was honestly. “Try that again and I will put you on the floor.”

Nyssa threw her head back and laughed. She didn’t mean to laugh at Sara, but the very thought of the tiny blonde besting a trained assassin in combat was highly amusing. “My how you puff your feathers Little Bird.” The laughter died but the smile remained fixed on her lips. Stepping closer a gloved hand reached up to tuck a stray strand of hair behind the blonde’s ear. “There is a fire inside you Little Bird, do not allow anyone to snuff it out.”
