Rounding out this trio with another crane shot from my trip to Miami last March. My fascination with cranes is pretty simple. It takes me back to boyhood, of childhood fantasies and dreams, building with legos and believing I could be anything when I grow up. Today, for me, they also symbolize technology, growth, and expansion into the future. Of our society and need for more places to house business and persons. I see a real need for upward growth rather than an urban sprawl and seeming need to cover everything with concrete.
