Bethesda's homepage now hosts a please stand by image clearly from fallout along with a countdown timer. Bethesda's twitter also tweeted an image of the please stand by. Many news sources have received confirmation that this is not a hoax, but indeed legit.

I saw and I am brimming with much excitement. :D I really, really hope it’s legit and not just some kind of belated April Fool’s. A new Fallout game would just be the best.

The funny thing is that I’ve actually been in the midst of replaying the third one, and a couple of my friends have been revisiting New Vegas. The timing is great.
