In Greek mythology, Epimeliads are dryads of the apple orchard. They are said to have white hair in human form, but can also take on the shape of a tree.
There is some debate about their name, as the ancient Greek word μηλον can be translated as "apple" or "sheep." Therefore, some see Epimeliads as the protectors of flocks of sheep rather than apple trees.
