Terce (Mid-Morning Prayer) for the Saturday after The Second Sunday After The Epiphany
℣. O God, make speed to save us. ℟. O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Alleluia.
The Psalm
Psalm 119. XIV. Lucerna pedibus meis.
THY word is a lantern unto my feet, * and a light unto my paths. I have sworn, and am stedfastly purposed, * to keep thy righteous judgments. I am troubled above measure: * quicken me, O LORD, according to thy word. Let the free-will offerings of my mouth please thee, O LORD; * and teach me thy judgments. My soul is alway in my hand; * yet do I not forget thy law. The ungodly have laid a snare for me; * but yet I swerved not from thy commandments. Thy testimonies have I claimed as mine heritage for ever; * and why? they are the very joy of my heart. I have applied my heart to fulfil thy statutes alway, * even unto the end.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

℟. Thanks be to God.
The Prayers
Lord, have mercy upon us. Christ, have mercy upon us. Lord, have mercy upon us.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
℣. Lord, hear our prayer; ℟. And let our cry come unto thee.
Let us pray.
The Officiant then says either the Collect of the Day, of the Commemoration (if any), or for Terce:
Collect for The Second Sunday After The Epiphany Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that thy people, illumined by thy Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee and the Holy Spirit liveth and reigneth, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Commemoration of Phillips Brooks Everlasting God, who dost implant thy living Word in the minds and on the lips of all who proclaim thy truth: Grant that we, like thy pastor and preacher Phillips Brooks, might proclaim thy Gospel in our own generation with grace and power. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who livest and reignest with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Collect for Terce Gracious heavenly Father, we beseech thee to send thy Holy Spirit into our hearts, to direct and rule us in accordance with thy will, to comfort us in all our afflictions to defend us from all error, and to lead us into thy truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
