The Lupie Life
Another month another Lupus flare up.
I'm getting pretty tired of constantly being sick, but am grateful that I was able to enjoy Christmas and New Year before it got really bad. Currently fighting an infection from my chilblains (frostbite) that was made worse by this cold weather and my poor circulation. I had to see my dermopathologist and am on really strong antibiotics which make me nauseous.
We had to up my steroid/prednisone dosage.. which means my rheumatologist had to withdrawal me from our double-blind clinical trial (I could have been receiving a placebo all of 2014..) and I get to go into open label! So I will be on Epratuzumab for sure!
New lesson learned, my body is VERY immunosuppressed. Therefore, stop touching anyone/anything/kids/germs/ all things at Target.. and SANITIZE SANITIZE!
