First Look: The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQA 

The Concept EQA is Mercedes-Benz's first all-electric EQ concept vehicle in the compact segment.

Innovative light technology: When it comes to the lights, Mercedes-Benz has opted for laser fibers. The spiral-shaped light signet underlines the electric concept, its design evoking the copper windings of an electric motor and the animation visualizing electrical impulses.

Powerful electric drive: Two electric motors, with a system output that can be increased to over 200 kW thanks to scalable battery components, and permanent all-wheel drive deliver impressive dynamic performance. The two drive programs offer a choice of individual drive characteristics.

Real-world range: In combination with the intelligent Mercedes-Benz operating strategy, the Concept EQA achieves a range of around 400 kilometers, depending on the battery capacity installed.

Convenient charging: The Concept EQA can be charged via induction or wallbox and is also ready for rapid charging. The vision for using public charging stations is "seamless charging": this Mercedes me-based service makes it easy for the customer to charge and pay at different charging stations.

Electric aesthetic: The Concept EQA is another example of the logical evolution of the Sensual Purity design idiom: sharp edges and lines have been significantly reduced. The black panel at the front acts as a virtual radiator grille whose look changes according to the drive program.

300 4Matic - with a usable battery of 66.5 kWh which offers 168 kW (225hp), top speeds of 99 mph and 0-62 times of 7.7 seconds. Real-world ranges suggest a combined 180 miles in colder weather with warmer temperatures to allow for 245miles (on a full charge) - 215 miles combined . The 11kW AC allows for 0-100% charging times of 7 hour and 15 minutes with the 112 kW DC enabling 10-80% in 29 minutes. The Merc has no Bidirectional charging. It has a 131 mpg equivalent, 340L cargo volume and offers towing capacities of 750kg (unbraked) and 1800kg (braked)

Sport Executive - (from £49,750) the entry model includes 18” alloys, comfort suspicion, EASY-PAK tailgate, LED headlights, electrically folding exterior mirrors, rear-view mirror automatically dimming, ambient lighting, heated front seats, multifunction sport steering wheel, climate control, navigation, parking package with reversing camera, Apple Carplay, DAB radio and active lane assist;              

AMG Line Executive - (from £52,010) the middle model includes 19” alloys, AMG body styling, illuminated door sills, sports seats, artico leather and multifunction sports steering wheel;

AMG Line Premium - (from £55,010) the luxury model adds 20” alloys, keyless-go comfort package, advanced sound system, parking package with 360 degree camera and wireless charging; and  

AMG Line Premium Plus - (from £58,010) the top-spec model adds 20” alloys, panoramic glass sunroof, night package, roof rails in black, memory package (electrically adjustable front seats), Burmester surround sound and surround lighting.
