im doing this post to share with the rest of the world how things are in mexico.

so on august 3rd a 17 year old girl was returning from a party in the night. she was just a few blocks of her house when 4 police officers grabbed her got her on their car and raped her. they let her go, she went with her mom and they reported the crime and the government did nothing. because “there wasn’t enough prove” even though the girl visited the doctor and the doctor confirmed she had been raped. this is one of the many cases of police officers abusing women in mexico and like in the other cases, justice hasn’t been done.

after this, a hashtag started on the social medias called #NoMeCuidanMeViolan which means “they don’t take care of me, they rape me”and yesterday, people were marching on the streets. we are mad, we tried to protest with pacific ways on social medias, with letters, even dancing.

but now we are mad. we are mad that our voice is not been hearing. we need justice, we need respect, i don’t like to live with fear. i don’t like the feeling of leaving my house and don’t know if i’m coming back.

Racism

Why do we draw the line at death?

We should draw the line every time we hear racism. 

We should draw the line when we see racism.

We shouldn’t draw the line at death.

We have to stand together and fight this.

Together we stand a chance.

But alone we can only do so much.

Standing up and saying something is a start.

But we have to do more if we want to fix this for the future.

We have to stand together, always.

Racism has always been around and no all of it is recorded.

Only a fraction of it is actually put out on social media.

So much of it is still left in the dark.

How can we call ourselves a unified and equal country when the color of someone’s skin is enough of a reason to hate them.

How can we be proud to live in a country like that?

We have to change this.

We need to.

Death and destruction can’t be the only way to change this endless cycle.

It’s not right that people of color are detained and treated unjustly when they are just doing simple things like running or simply shopping.

We can’t keep living like this.

Equality is for everyone.

We’re angry and hurt.

And frankly fed up.

It’s fucked up.

Fucked up that this is the world we currently live in.

How are you going to call yourself a feminist and be rude to any other gender or person that even disagrees with you? That isn’t what feminism is about. The definition is literally, “Equality for all genders,” but some of you people call yourself a feminist and cry when we tell you to look at the stoning of woman is countries under extreme laws just because she didn’t cover her face. How are you going to scream that you don’t want to be abused or have mental issues anymore and then scream, even beat up and attack, trans men because of their medical condition? Or trans woman? How are you going to do all that and call yourself a feminist, a person fighting for equality of all genders?

Can my fellow white left wingers stop using the arguement "This isn't what the founders wanted" when arguing with right wings assholes about the treatment of POC, especially black people, in the US?

They literally kept slavery legal
