Most expansive LGBTI civil rights bill in history introduced in US Congress
Equality Act would prohibit discrimination on basis of sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, housing, credit, education, and jury service
“Democrats in the US House of Representatives and US Senate today introduced The Equality Act which essentially seeks to expand the nation’s civil rights law to cover sexual orientation and gender identity.
The proposed legislation – the most expansive for LGBTI people in the nation’s history – seeks to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, housing, credit, education and jury service.
It also seeks to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex by those receiving federal funding and in public accommodations.
The legislation is sponsored by senators Jeff Merkley, Tammy Baldwin and Corry Booker and representatives David Cicilline and John Lewis (D-GA).
Baldwin, the first out lesbian to serve in the senate, later took to Twitter to tout the legislation.
‘Employees should hired, fired or promoted based on their performance – not their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Equality Act is about whether #LGBT Americans deserve to be treated just like everyone else.We need to ensure every American has a fair chance to earn a living & provide for their family, including #LGBT Americans. #EqualityForward.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone involved with this bill, now let’s get it passed!
tbh this shirt, on its own; was way too pricey. if it didn't secure me a spot to meet alaska, i would never have bought it. but bc i am sentimental af it's one of my fav articles of clothing ever ever. it's all wrinkly and the dye is coming out bc it endured over 6 hours in the rain!!!! and lemme tell you, it was no light drizzle either!!! but it was worth every second bc pride was everything and one of my most fondest memories. also it smells vaguely like katya's sweat smh but guess who's never washing it anyways?????????
I’m kind of obsessed with doing drawings like this now??? idk this is the second one and i just like how they turn out so much <3 this pic of vi was super hot sooooo lol
I know I don't have many followers, but this..... Donations are made to the HRC, but viewing this sponsored YouTube 's video. Watch it, share it specifically with the like-minded, but still share it vast and wide. Equality has a long way to go.
AMERICAN APPAREL PEARLET MEETING THING
OH MY GOD WHERE DO I START? First off, it was a mess. I got my shirt at about 1-2 and they said they didn't know if they were doing priority line or not but I got the shirt anyways. so I came back in line at like 3 and we were pretty close to the door.(btw it started at 5) so we are waiting in line and violet said she's was going to be late. so we're waiting and waiting and not getting any info about what's happening at all. the people working are giving us 6272 different ideas. one said "they'll be here soon" another one was like "well theve actually been in the basement since 4" WHEN IT WAS LIKE 6 which made no sense. then I asked about priority and a worker said that they were going to pull anyone with a shirt on out of the line to priority eventually. so at 7, violet came. and priority was taken out and put into another line but like it didn't even matter because they were letting in people from the other line at the same time as priority so. then I got in and violet was so nice and sweet and I got pictures and left. so yeahh. I'm now hearing she left early and I hope everyone got to meet her! OH AND ALSO pearl didn't come she got sick/hurt her foot after the parade so :(
if you guys see me at the NYC pearlet American apparel thing say hi I'm wearing a red and blue flannel
