"Down with the man who thinks its OK to give his wife a punch. Down with the judge who said it weren't rape cos she was drunk. And if you're pro life, I mean if you're actually PRO-life - then become a doctor, or foster a kid. Make it possible for people ALIVE to LIVE. But don't tell women what they can and can't do, when it was a woman that gave life to you."
So this incredible quote is from a spoken word poem/rap called '5 Bottes of Shampoo' that was made as part of the EQUALS? charity partnership which calls for a more equal world. What I love, even though some parts of his poem/rap aren't as good, is that this comes from A MAN. A man who supports and speaks out about gender equality. Because you can harp on about feminism and all that, because yes a lot of this is a feminist issue, but it is something that should concern ALL GENDERS. Surely that is why is called equality (Duh?)
Anyway, the tag line of this campaign is 'So, are we equals? until the answer is yes, we should never stop asking.' (Watch the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xg5Gcc8cfKc)
