i’ve seen people talking about yang’s behavior in this little moment, but i wanna talk about blake’s because it’s really interesting when broken down.

yang instinctually reaches for blake and puts her hand on her waist and while blake doesn’t do the same until after, when they’re both relaxed and yang’s hand is still on her, blake turns and leans toward yang.

she could’ve easily put her right arm up and mimicked what yang did, but when you go back and look at the actual moment, blake puts her arm up and visibly turns toward yang and leans in close to her, almost as if seeking yang out.

just as yang’s instinct is to reach for blake and protect her, blake’s instinct is to seek yang out and lean into her, seeking the protection that she knows yang wants to and will provide.

blake wasn’t used to someone actively caring for and protecting her before beacon, but now, she and yang are close enough that it’s instinctual for her to find yang and seek her warmth and protection whenever something like this happens.

also the fact that these two gay bitches are being so touchy-feely with each other after only being apart for about a day and a half is killing me.

Also, Blake is trusting Yang to take the hit for both of them, while she remains safe and ready to counter and while her partner's semblance is fueled. Their synergy as partners in every meaning is so strong now.

If our lost siren from the end of Borderlands 3 isn't found alive in a DLC I fully expect one to be Athena having suddenly gotten her powers and being like, "Dafuq is going on! Janey we're gonna go find wherever the hell the vault hunters went!"

I’m so confused I haven’t seen captain marvel but everyone has told me she’s cocky af but in endgame all she is being is confident.

She's got the affectation of a woman who has had to put up with a life of you can't do "blank" because "blank". Generally because she is female or shows emotion. She hasn't been allowed to entirely control her own life for various reasons. She comes off as slightly blunt at points. Towards the end of the movie, she finds out she is ridiculously more powerful than she thought she was, and she enthuastically explores these new powers. I guess, at this point someone could see it as cocky, I didn't personally, just Really excited and glad to be free of those who would control her.

By the time Endgame comes around, her powers are second nature, not a cool new toy, and her decisions are hers alone.

In my opinion.

One of my favorite things to see is random people trying to interact with unfamiliar outdoor cats. Just standing there with a hand out, making kissy noises, maybe meowing at the cat while it ignores them. Mankind at its best and least dignified

if you want to interact with a cat that doesn’t know you, sit down not facing it. glance at it occasionally and make an inviting noise, but mostly just play with your phone or whatever.

the cat will almost certainly come over to check you out sooner or later. it’ll stay out of arm’s reach because it doesn’t know if you’re a jerk. offer your hand and let the cat sniff. wait. if the cat wants pettins, it will indicate that by noofing your hand, flopping on its side, or coming in close.

the cat may want to be bros but not get pettins. in that case, it will sit or lie near you but out of reach. this is friendly! the cat is saying, you’re a person in my neighborhood! hi neighbor!

of course, it’s possible that the cat is a great big cuddleslut and will come love all over you. that happens too. but if it doesn’t, that doesn’t mean it’s an unfriendly cat. be chill and let the cat choose how close to get, and you’ll find most cats are pretty friendly.
