Gilgamesh changed not only in form but personality on a positive note.
Even so, there was still an amount of distrust she held for him. Saber
hadn’t forgiven him quite yet for the.. strange proposal. They may have
exchanged bad jokes together, but that did not mend their broken bridge
of a relationship.
She was still curious. She knew the possible dangers of yes — but..
”Very well.”
This was to see what he wanted. Nothing more.
She was glad to an extent that she accepted his offer. Autumn began
and the weather was fair. Chilly, yes, but much more comfortable than
what summer offered. The wind blew scattered leaves at her feet.
Nature was taking its course quickly — she never stopped to look and
see.
Her thoughts were not with nature for long, though. She pointed a
cautious green gaze his way, making her thoughts apparent.
“Archer — surely you have a reason for this.”
The light wind blew dried leaves across their path, and they rustled against the road and crunched underfoot. While Saber seemed content in the cooler weather, Gilgamesh could not help but tuck his chin into his red scarf, hands shoved into pockets as deep as they could go. He was truly not built for Japanese winters.
"There's no reason, really," he replied, lifting his eyes to the grey clouds gliding through the blue sky. "I just thought it would be nice to have company. A solitary walk is fine and good, but doing the same thing every day gets a little boring." A few birds, late to fly south for the winter, chased each other through the air.
"I hope I'm not inconveniencing you."
