I -LOVE- Inspiration!

I really love it, when you’re just going about your business, doing your everyday living and whatnot, and then wham! this seemingly-random thing just pops into your head, and it makes you go, “Huh…  That’s weird…  But interesting!”  And then, whether or not you decide to focus on that for a while, and further contemplate it, it can blossom into this super-cool idea!

I just had a super-awesome idea for a new race of creatures that I’m most -definitely- going to be using in my future games!  I really like where this race is going, so I just might even copyright it when I publish my next RPG system!  I can’t give out too much information about it (for obvious reasons!), but I -will- say that I’m really super-happy I’ve been forcing myself to contemplate new creatures and storylines for tabletop gaming the past few days:  It’s totally paid off!

For a little teaser, for those of you that will someday play one of my games (as I don’t think I’ll be restricting this particular type of being to just a single game setting), you will know what I’m talking about, when you go up against “Creatures based on musical perfection”!

All that’s left to mention, on top of being very thankful for the inspiration, is that another print run of “Are You A Changeling?” is due very soon, and we’ll have plenty available for sale at Midwest Furfest next month!

Also, by then, we should have it for sale online at www.EquestriaInspired.net around then, and then people all around the world can enjoy Changeling shenanigans! :D

(Overdue) Update

So much has been going on, as of late! I have started up school again, full time! And it's keeping me so busy, it's put a real big monkey wrench in my game developing time, and I really don't like it... Development has slowed down to a crawl, but at least I can announce that we're doing another print run of "Are You A Changeling?", and will have it at Midwest Furfest, not only for sale, but I'll personally be running several demos of the game over the course of that particular weekend! Also, as an added bonus, I will be throwing in a few extra rolls during sevral of these games, as a special sneak peek for some of what's coming up in the next few expansions! I've also been on a huge Albedo kick as of late, and after seeing that it's creator has decided to bring it back, I've been exremely motivated to play around with it's tabletop gaming system, and have even started my own local Albedo gaming revolution! So, all in all, I apologize for the slowness of postings... Heck, going back to school was actually a bit of a last-second decision in itself! But, things ARE still going on in the background, playtesting IS still being done, and multiple gaming systems ARE still being developed... Just a bit slower than anticipated, for a while. My pursuit of education might be a short-lived one, as I have been offered a Co-Ownership position for a local tabletop gaming, anime and geek social hub kinda place that might be sprouting up in Rockford, Illinois within the next 6 months, so... Yeah... A lot is going on in my life both for me, AND for Equestria Inspired's future!

As of right now, "Are You A Changeling?" is officially in print!  The three different-tiered Core Sets are all on their way, and will be available at TrotCon! As TrotCon was a couple of months ahead-of-schedule for our initial print-runs, we pushed really hard to get the initial sets ready for those lucky congoers to get their hooves on this wonderful games!  As such, we'll be able to sell the cards as-is! You will be able to store them however you'd like, whether they be wrapped up in a precious cloth, or however else you'd like!  The only minor drawback to making this lovely game available sooner, for all of you lovely ponyfolk, is that we weren't given enough time to get official boxes for these cards to be carried in designed and printed for the con.

Not to worry, though!  Soon, we'll have the cards and boxes ready for online order!  As for now, of course, we offer all sorts of Changeling swag for purchase on our CaféPress site  http://www.cafepress.com/EquestriaInspired  (So far the T-Shirts and Tote Bags are our most popular items!)

Equestria Inspired

Equestria Inspired is a gaming group dedicated to giving the Brony community more ways to enjoy the world of Equestria and be inspired. Established since the show's beginning, it's been their goal to give everypony outside of the show the chance to feel like they're in it. Being an avid con-goer, Draìoct Neighsach (Pronounced: 'Dry-ekt'), the Founder of Equestria Inspired Gaming, has been enjoying various conventions for more fandoms than you can count on your hooves. This will be his 10th anniversary of bringing his love for gaming everywhere he goes - from video gaming to LARPing, tabletop to party gaming, and so much more! An avid Brony from the beginning, he's worked long and hard to fill the void that is the roleplaying game enjoyment of the fandom. Thusly he has developed several titles, including "Inspireland", "MLP: TOON!", "Mass Effect: Unity", and the fan favorite "Are You A Changeling?". He's also founder of the Hearth's Warming Care Package - a brony charity to benefit Kiki Havivy, a young girl battling brain cancer. They provide aid through events, auctions, and published fanfic. On the convention circuit, he's known to most for his infamous 'Raristache' cosplay antics.

New Expansion!!!

Holy Bertolli!! I -just now-, came up with yet another expansion for AYAC!! It's so simple! .... Such a minor tweak in one rule, and even on the most basic of core games will literally keep everypony guessing! Ho man, I'm so excited that I came up with this today! Today is another playtesting day at my place, as denoted on Equestria Inspired's facebook group! Oh man, I get to playtest this tonight!! It's gonna be SO AWESOME!!! /)°3°(\

AYAC Tie Games

I apologize to everypony ahead-of-time, as this tumblr will be vague about exact mechanics of the game, in efforts to prevent further idea plagiarism, so mostly my Alpha and Beta testers will know what I'm talking about. This doesn't mean I won't answer questions! I just need to keep a level of discretion and mystique to the info I give out! Now, onto the post: I've never thought about it before, but I just realized that there are several mechanics in the core game plus first expansion, that would actually allow a tie/stalemate, where everypony gets captured at the end. This is possible in two scenarios that I can currently think of, all involving the last turn of the game having one Changeling and one non-Changeling-faction character. If the non-enemy is the Creature Catcher, then when they are taken in the night, their trap triggers and captures the only player left, who has to be a Changeling, therefore stalemate. Also, if the last two players were Lovers, then that means once the morning starts it would be game over and Changelings grab their Lover, they go with to the dungeon.... I shall have to discuss this with my Beta testers tonight, and see what they think! Of course, with the rest of the expansions that are being tested, the possibility of this happening in newer and different ways increases exponentially! But, enough on that for now... I just hope my testers will follow me here, so I don't feel so silly, writing all this stuff up for nobody to read <_< Stay tuned!
