I think out of everything I’ve done so far, I’m most proud of the Changelings, so I’ll post some. Way way back in 2013 when I first started making the set (and knew like 5% about the game of what I know now) the mane six and Chrysalis were the first cards I made. I don’t even want to remember what she was like back then. They’ve come a long way.
I’m not sure how much I should let my personal gripes about the game affect the set, but I really think something needs to answer these recent commanders that don’t even need to be cast.
I’m looking at you, Eminence.
I’ve got it.
Because all the ponies in Ponyville are “unique” characters (when they aren’t pegasi one day and unicorns the next), and I don’t want like 30 legends in the set, tokens will reign! Sure, some creatures will be named “pastry shop pony” or “daring pegasus” or something, but most other background ponies will be tokens. Not including Applejack, of course.
After making a post, I’ve come to a realization that both Crystal Empire and the Changelings were both WUBR, and I’m having a hard time redistributing the colors.
Crystal Empire should remain minus green imo, because it loves artifacts. And Changelings should stay with blue, because deception is their biggest thing, their main colors being UB.
Now, I could make it UBWG for the evolution, and sense of community in the hive, but then Canterlot is UBWG. I could make the changelings UBWR but then we’re back at the Crystal Empire’s WUBR.
Well then what if you change Canterlot? What if it was minus blue? True it would stay authoritarian in a sense, but I think it might lose a bit of its controlling aspects. It would only be a little awkward, because I did like Luna in UB. But, then we have the GWUB open for Changelings. I just did have a couple of cards already planned out in theme with Luna’s dream walking thing. Namely, well, Dreamwalk, among other ideas about blinking or UB “nightmare”ish effects

I’d say they count as half wraths. That is, you can have 1.5 wraths (i.e. Pyroclasm + WoG) in a set, but not 2.

How many wraths are too many wraths? I know I have one that hates on changelings (or more specifically creatures with the same name as other creatures), I wanna reprint Culling Sun, Ponyville Charm has a Pyroclasm effect, Crystal Charm has a -2/-2 effect that I’m not entirely set on but still like, an enchantment that gives -2/-2, and thinking about giving the Everfree an all purpose black wrath like Fumigate or something at least less powerful than Damnation.
