My Guilty Pleasure: Horse Games

Imma go play one now

Of the 41 games in my Steam library, 10 of them are really crappy horse games. I love them. I always have. Growing up I’d always buy horsey games for Playstation and PC, as any horse loving kid does. Equestrian challenge day 1

When and why you started riding: I got riding lessons for my 12th birthday. I had gone to summer camp the previous summer after a good friend from school suggested it. :) best decision ever.

Day 03- A video of your best riding

Erm, I'm going to be honest, I don't have any videos of my best riding, or worst riding for that matter.

I have no one to film me riding, my mum only takes photos really :/

Day Two - 30 Day Equestrian Challenge!

Day 02- The last time you rode a horse and what you did

I believe the last time I rode was last week possibly? In the winter I don't get to ride as often as I'd like as having divorced parents I don't get to see the ponies over the weekend while I'm at my dad's. This means I can only spend time with them on week days after school. However, during the winter it is too dark to ride after school, I can only go and muck out, feed etc... So my mum or myself lunge half an hour every other day to keep the horses having some kind of exercise. 

Star and Amber were both incredibly hyper, and Star even threw in some bucking broncos through the excitement of being ridden. I took Star for a gallop up the track and she loved it, she hasn't galloped that fast in ages. Amber was hyper, but still good as gold. Jumped both of them over a small straight bar a couple of times, both did very well. That was all I did! :)

Day One - 30 Day Equestrian Challenge!

Day 01- When and why you started riding

I guess I started riding because of my mum. 

She had always been obsessed with horses, and when she was around 13/14 years old, my great-granddad bought her a pony. Mon-Ami, a eighteen month old Connemara x Thoroughbred, nothing special, just a cheap pony you'd find at a market. She trained Mon-Ami herself and payed for her keep through numerous paper rounds. This was the first pony I ever sat on, which was pretty much as soon as I was born.

Mon-Ami taught me, and many others to ride. My mum brought me into this world of horses straight away and I love her so much for it. It's something I have never thought twice about, horses make me who I am.

I cannot pin point an exact time when I first started riding as I may as well have been born in the saddle. But I started because of my wonderful mum.
