The one my mom bought from the was about $900, id on’t know the type of wood but it was of the breadfruit tree story so it was very detailed. It’s roughly 3.5x1.5ft? & then another couple hundred to ship it home. This was in 2005.
What I was seeing online is there are professional carvers whose prices are very high and fixed, but the ones made by inmates are lower and they're more willing to negotiate. Do you know where your mom got hers? (Also we still need to throw some ideas around about that patch)

i don’t really have a lot to add bc you’re doin’ a real nice job yourself but i recently read a couple things about how the * after trans is/can be problematic/harmful so i thought maybe you’d be into looking that stuff up?
Thanks for the note! There are some interesting posts about it here and here. I used "trans*" because that's the way I've most commonly seen it written when including non-binary people, but I'll try and keep more on top of changing meanings and implications!

hey ella
i just very suddenly remembered that time in middle-school at a dance when you had to talk me down from panicked embarrassment in the bathroom
I made edits to that zine that I published a couple months ago. I'm not going to charge for this one so if you want one, leave me a message here or on fb or wherever. If you're outside of Ireland I might wait until I get home to send it to you/hand it to you in person- but if you'd rather get international mail, let me know. And maybe possibly consider dropping a dollar or two in my PayPal account? [email protected]. Not necessary if you can't/don't feel like it, but post is expensive and I'm kind of down to the wire money-wise (which is why I haven't sent many postcards this term, in case you were wondering).

anyone who marries me is going to have to deal with the fact that after a certain point in my life i am going to move into a weird house with a bottle tree in a small town and bake cookies with magic in them
