Why are you interested in this character?
I feel that Equius is a character with a lot of potential for development in different directions. How he develops is dependent on the setting and interactions with other characters. He has so many conflicting impulses. It’s fun and a little challenging to try and portray this in a well rounded way while still making him feel like the character from the comic. Also, I have the vocabulary to play him so that’s a plus.
What is your personal interpretation of this character?
Equius’s obsession with control (either controlling or being controlled) stems from a sub-conscious recognition that at the very core of his being, there is nothing. He lacks a sense of self and tries to make up for this by turning to ritual, morality, hierarchy, submission, anything that will structure his sense of the world and himself. This also helps him to deal with his rage. There’s always the threat looming over him that he’ll lose himself to that anger, that chaos will consume him and he won’t really be a person anymore.

Describe your character’s personality.
Controlling, overbearing, a hidden romantic, stern, patronizing, easily offended by moral turpitude, strict with others but stricter with himself, hypocritical, deep-seated fondness for animals, especially cute ones or strong ones, narcissistic personality, will find excuses for the faults of the people close to him, easily provoked to anger, acts domineering and will take a dominant role in his projects and personal relationships, but he’s actually a true submissive.

Equius surveyed the other students as if he were looking at a lineup for a sports team. Though he hadn’t spoken to any of them, he was already casting blanket judgments based on their appearance. That one with the unkempt hair and baggy clothes was a drug fiend who lived on welfare. The girls all looked trashy or common, none of them seemed to possess any class. It was obvious that he would have to help lift these peasants out of their miserable, depraved existence and direct them towards more noble pursuits. Striding purposefully over to a red haired boy, he stared down at him impassively for a long moment, saying nothing. At last, he spoke. “Hello.”
(In all likelihood, in keeping with the average post length that I’ve observed from watching the group roleplay and reading the logs, I’d be writing shorter one or two sentence responses. But it’s hard to come up with those on the spot.)

Give a short physical description of your character.
At sixteen, Equius is 5’9”, with a lean, muscular build, broad shoulders, a trim waist, narrow hips. He still has a growth spurt left in him and will likely end up taller than his older brother, Horuss. At the moment, the two of them look so much alike, they might easily be mistaken for twins. They have the same mocha skin and blue eyes. However, unlike his brother, Equius prefers to dress himself in very simple yet stylish clothes. His clothes tend to be black, white or shades of grey and dark blues. They’re all designer or couture, and if possible organic, natural fabrics that use minimal chemicals in their production. He has a taste for leather shoes and jackets, but will only wear the vegan kind (heaven forfend he should ever wear the skin of animal on his back.) Though he doesn’t wear super tight clothes, they’re well-tailored and show off his figure to good advantage, especially his muscular rump. That is some 100% premium quality ass. Nicely curved, not flat but not too large, firm but not unyielding, the kind of ass that’s just begging to be spanked. He prefers short sleeves or tanktops because they show off his arms. He’s proud of his body and likes to show it off, hoping that it will provide an edifying example for others to follow. The fact that it might signal sexual availability does not occur to him. He wears a chastity ring at all times as he plans to remain a virgin until marriage. Good luck with that one, Equius.
