“O-Oh my gods!” Peony’s voice is high strung with worry as she watches the virus stumble into the doorway. The virus stood there shakily on its two legs, covered in different colors of paint, knees knocking together as she leaned against the door and clung to it trying to stay upright with all her might
Quickly darting to her side, her hand clutched onto the virus, checking her all over uneasily “E-Equo? A-are you alright?” her voice was low as she clung to the paint virus who nodded meekly. Peony withdrew a hand, the paints were still wet, as evidenced by the purple paint on her palm. “You poor thing… Let’s get you cleaned up. Okay?” wiggling herself under Equo’s armpit she helped half walk, half drag the unsteady virus to the bathroom and set her down in the bathtub and helped her in. The blonde leaned back as Peony started the water, Equo mumbled a quiet “Thank you…” she raised a hand to pat at her cheek.
Helping Equo pull off her clothes she tossed the ruined clothing into the trashbin. Turning back to her as she grabbed the soap and handed it to her “Can I ask what happened?” she raised an eyebrow as Equo closed her eyes. A small hiss was emitted from her lips as she leaned back. “Fuckin paint cans...” She grumbled.
“What?” Peony stopped scrubbing her hair and pulled away “What happened to your paint cans?”
“They just all... exploded at once.” Equo continued with a description of the scene that unfolded as she opened the door.
“Tch.” Peony scoffed “This sound fishy to me, so you just opened the door to your room and the cans all exploded?”
“Mhm” Equo mumbled, wiping off the smear of green on her arm and watching the color dilute into the murky water of the bathtub.
“I bet Toaster or Glitch had something to do with this..” The virus scowled wither her jaw set. “This has their names written all over it. I can just see it”
“Well, it might have, but its doesn’t anymore. Its covered under layers of paint.”

“Toaster!” Glitch snarled as she chased the cackling virus down the hall. The brunette glanced back and stuck out her tongue, egging on the cybercat even more-so. She bolted in between a confused looking Equo and Peony. Equo had been painting a very patient Peony, the painting virus had a smudge of purple under her blue eyes. Peony looked back down the hallway and managed to push Equo to the wall and herself to either side just in time to avoid Glitch, as she barreled down the hallway, rushing past with a snarl. Peony checked over her friend to make she she was fine, she was and she seemed to be more frazzled about the paint on her palette mixing then the two who had nearly knocked her over.
“What did she do this time?” Peony glanced to an equally confused looking Equo who shrugged a response, her bottom lip stuck out over her paint problem.
Around the hallway came Callow, the gator boy puffed and leaned against the wall to the two. “Hey..” he tried catching his breath and the two stood by either side.
“I presume you know what’s going on?”
The gator nodded his head “Oh… just the usual… between them. I... can’t stop... them. And.. Gamma will... be home soon.”
“No one’s fast enough to keep up with those two.” Equo patted his back.
Peony pursed her lip “We don’t have to be fast enough… Just smart enough.”
“Sounds like a plan in motion” Equo grinned.
“Smokebomb?” Callow asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Smokebomb” Peony smiled. “Gather Horns, who knows when Gamma will be back, and we can’t have her walk in on them two fighting again.”
“She’ll freaking lose it.” The gator pointed out as he straightened up and the trio started walking. In the background they could still faintly hear the noise of the chase between the two, it was distant currently but no telling when they would circle back.
“It’ll be worse then last week…”
“What will?”
The three turned, facing a little Horns who stood there shifting his weight on his feet from side to side, his hands stuffed into his jacket pockets as he blinked with wide eyes.
Putting a hand on her hip, Equo said “Gamma’s fit when she comes home and finds that Toaster and Glitch are running around fighting again.”
“Oh…” He murmured.
“But it’s okay!” Callow said “Peo here has a plan!”
“I’m all ears then!” He turned to her.
“Alright then, here’s the plan…”

"Gotta be faster than that kitty!" Toaster laughed, as she was nearly hit by a paperweight throw at her. Glitches tail swung around, knocking the spot next to the cyber girl as she jumped aside with ease. "I will end you!" She hissed as Toaster then yanked on her tail and took the opportunity to dart down the hallway.
The cybercat followed her down the hallway, she was about to distort and teleport in front of her when Toaster let out a shriek and skidded to a stop.
Dead ahead stood Callow and Horns holding out a painted net, most likely a device made from the skillful artist Equo. Toaster had to spin around and avoid the cat only to run head first into Peony who matched her agility. Peony had knocked down other before she even knew what was going on. “Cheater!” Toaster roared with anger and Equo assisted in keeping her down. “Glitch you cheater!”
“I am not!” The cat was caught in the sticky web with a smirking Callow above her. Horns lowered himself to say “It was neither of you, we just had to stop you befor-”
Glitch hissed at him, baring her teeth she shut her eyes, she thrashed in the net and Callow let out a growl before dropping the net. Glitch’s vein’s flickered and she distorted for a second, then disappeared altogether.
“Damnit!” Callow scoffed at the empty net as Horns fell to the floor with a confused look.
Toaster’s eyes glowed “Get off!” her body was heating up and Peony had to quickly pull Equo away to not get burned. She rolled over and pushed herself up, letting out a slight hiss of frustration the brunet sound around “FACE ME YOU COWARD”
Peony tried to jump on Toaster, the best thing the two could do was to keep them apart, she had lept up but Glitch had reappeared, knocking Toaster away from the rest. The two viruses rolled on the floor in a tangle of limbs.
Horns had started forward but Peony held him back “Don’t” she warned as Toaster ignited a fireball in her hand. Glitch snarled as she twisted around, dodging the flame. It sailed towards the door which opened. Callow shouted a warning to the virus entering to duck.
A metal wing flicked out in front of her, deflecting the flame. Gamma folded it back behind her, her eyebrows knit downwards as she surveyed the the two. Glitch and Toaster had froze in mid fight when Gamma opened the door. The cyber cat's hand tugging on her hair and the other raised with claws extended, and the burnette’s retaliating by pulling her hair, a hand glowed slightly where the flames had emitted, still warm.
“What is this” Gamma’s voice is firm as she glances to the rest of the group. Equo takes a step back behind Peony with her hands behind her back, Horns rubs the back of his neck nervously and Callow holds up his hands as he speaks calmly “Toaster and Glitch were having another disagreement-”
“What!” Gamma’s voice jumps up and so do the rest of the group, Glitch and Toaster melt apart sheepishly. The 99er angrily slams the door behind her as she walks in, her hands balled into fists at her side. “I leave for a few hours and you two can’t keep your damn hands off each other! Why do you fight all the time?! You two are worse than children! I shouldn’t need to constantly watch you two!”
Glitch’s head hung in shame, and Toaster’s cheeks burned a bright red. she opened her mouth but Gamma “Na-Ah! Don’t try to worm your way out of this! I want both of you to go to my room. Now.” She glanced to the rest of the team “Can I help the rest of you?” Her voice was stern and the others shook their heads. “No? Then find something to do”. They scampered off as Glitch and Toaster padded towards Gamma’s room.
“Think they’ll be okay? Horns whispered nervously to Callow. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see them for the rest for the day…” Peony scoffed.
Callow nodded his head “Gamma will certainly give them what they deserve.”
Equo cast a glance behind them “Wonder what punishment they’ll get this time.”
Callow tapped his chin “Night guard for Glitch and kitchen duty for Toaster, not sure how long, but I’m betting more than last time.”
“A month of kitchen duty... Wow.” Equo sounded slightly smypathetic and Peony grinned “Good, one less chore I hate doing.”
Ya’ll should be getting to know these cuties, I just love these quick fics.

Echo raised her hand, about to knock on the door when it swung wide open. “Welcome” Gamma beamed and Echo smiled back. The little brunette ushered her in and she was greeted by the rest of the team. Horns bobbed his head and pointed to the bag and she had around her waist “What’s that?”. Echo glanced to it and smiled “Well, I figured since I have to borrow Gamma for the day for some 99er’s stuff that I’d at least try and make up for it.”
“Did you bring us more chocolate chip cookies?!” Peony’s face light up and as Echo shook her head her smile dropped.
“I figured it would have been rude of me to do.”
“What? Why?” Callow spoke “We all liked them-”
“Cal, remember what happened last like?” Equo shot her a glance and the two look to where Glitch was lingering, the girl let out a small hiss “I haven’t forgotten.”
“Too bad I have.” Toaster shrugged with a smirk, and Glitch nearly jumped on her if not for Callow’s grip on her tail, holding her back.
Echo gave a slight sigh “Sorry, I kinda forgot, its generic y'know? Next time I’ll make a separate batch for you.”
“I made her brownies just the other day!” Toaster piped up and Equo gave her a jab to the elbow “Yea, she did not eat a single one-ow!” She rubbed her sides as Echo opened the bag. “Anyways, here, I got some candies instead.”
“Oh sweet!” Horns grinned.
“Well yes, some are. I also got some sour too.” She chuckled as she handed out their candies, each of the got a bundle wrapped in a soft colored cloth matching their vein color. “Eat that and then I suggest doing some more tactical practice.”
Gamma nodded “I should be back tonight, try to make sure today is still productive” She looked at each of them “No shenanigans, just work. Alright?”
The six nodded their head and said in unisons “Okay fine” “All Right!” “If you say so.”
“Take care guys!” Echo waved and Gamma opened, following her out the two headed back to the 99er’s compound.
The group shuffled to their living room to unwrap their gifts.
Peony squealed with glee and shoved the bag into her friends face to show “Lookit! Skittles and Starburst!”
Equo shouted in glee and raised her above her head “A Chocolate bar! I’d kill a man for this much!”
“Good thing you didn’t have to!” Peony shot her a look and the painter grinned “Darn.”
Horns held up a fistful of his candy “I got Rockets!” The group quickly glanced his way and Callow had to lean over, inspecting the candies in his hand “Smarties… Not rockets, it's okay everybody”
“You thought I had gotten actually rockets from Echo?” Horns snorted and looked from virus to virus. “Actually” Glitch said as she poked around in her bag “It would not surprise me one bit.”
“Yeah, same” Peony said giving a slight shrug. Equo murmured “We kind of have a track record for pulling pranks, so she might’ve tried to return the favor..”
Glitch chuckled “That is true!” she pulled out a peanut butter candy and popped it in her mouth. After several chews the cat stuck out her tongue, the peanut butter was sticking to the roof of her mouth.
Callow held back a chuckle as he watched Glitch struggle for a moment, he unwrapped his lollipop and stuck it in his mouth, crunching on it to get to the gum center. The cyber cat knit her eyebrows and frowned.
Toaster practically doubled over laughing in a fit of giggles when she spotted the poor predicament that Glitch was in “OH man!” she laughed pointing “What’s wrong Glitch? Cat got your tongue!”
“That wasn’t even funn-Oh Glitch… You poor thing” Equo had to cup her mouth to hold back her giggles as Peony spoke.
Toaster snickered “Oh man” Toaster had gotten up and sauntered over to the cat to tease her more. Glitch mumbled something but it was lost in the stuck mouth, by her expression it was most likely something extremely rude.
Callow called over “Oh hush Toaster, and eat your snickers bar. You get a little punny when you’re hungry”
Horns held back a snort and the gator boy flashed him a grateful grin.
Toaster spun around with an unamused expression and Glitch lumbered out of the room, tail flicking angrily behind her.
“How do you know Echo gave her a snickers bar?” Equo raised an eyebrow.
Toaster tried to cut him off but Callow avoided the hand and said “It’s the only thing Echo ever gives her.”
Glitch had wandered back in, a notepad and pen in her hand. She plopped down between Equo and Peony, something scribbled on the paper Peony flashed a smirk and said “Glitch says that there aren’t enough snickers bars in the world to fix her.”
