A/N: Requested by brink-of-madnuss 3.Glitchster-“Oh my God, you’re so frustrating! One second you won’t talk to me for a week, next second you’re threatening any guy who looks my direction! If you care, say you care! Quit doing this!” huehuehue
If there was anything that infuriated Toaster, it had to be Glitch. Her stupid tail that she’d always use to smack the other virus whenever she could, but the worst part was how bipolar she was. There were certain days where the other virus would avoid her for whole weeks, and then the very next day she’d threaten anyone who looked twice at ‘her girlfriend’ despite the fact that they weren’t dating.
Which somehow eventually led to them both going out, wandering the town together. Toaster was used to people ogling her, considering the virus liked to brag on occasion about how sexy she was. Not that Glitch would ever disagree, mind you. Picking up a pair of sunglasses, Toaster whips around to find Glitch glowering at some dude across the store. “What?” Toaster asks, following her gaze to find the man approaching.
Toaster turns to face him, casting glances at Glitch, who has her ears flattened, eyes narrowed at the unfamiliar man. “Hey, baby, did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?” he asks, sly grin gracing his face. Glitch steps between the two,”Did this hurt?” she demands, punching the man in the face.
Toaster turns to glare at Glitch,”What the fuck was that for, Glitch?” she snaps, the other virus glancing over casually. “You’re mine,” she shrugs. Toaster’s purple eyes widen at this,“Oh my God, you’re so frustrating! One second you won’t talk to me for a week, next second you’re threatening any guy who looks my direction! If you care, say you care! Quit doing this!” she yells, stepping closer to the cat virus.
Glitch hesitates, glancing over the smaller virus before speaking. “Will this clear things up?” she asks, cupping Toaster’s face and kissing her gently.
Ya’ll should be getting to know these cuties, I just love these quick fics.

Echo raised her hand, about to knock on the door when it swung wide open. “Welcome” Gamma beamed and Echo smiled back. The little brunette ushered her in and she was greeted by the rest of the team. Horns bobbed his head and pointed to the bag and she had around her waist “What’s that?”. Echo glanced to it and smiled “Well, I figured since I have to borrow Gamma for the day for some 99er’s stuff that I’d at least try and make up for it.”
“Did you bring us more chocolate chip cookies?!” Peony’s face light up and as Echo shook her head her smile dropped.
“I figured it would have been rude of me to do.”
“What? Why?” Callow spoke “We all liked them-”
“Cal, remember what happened last like?” Equo shot her a glance and the two look to where Glitch was lingering, the girl let out a small hiss “I haven’t forgotten.”
“Too bad I have.” Toaster shrugged with a smirk, and Glitch nearly jumped on her if not for Callow’s grip on her tail, holding her back.
Echo gave a slight sigh “Sorry, I kinda forgot, its generic y'know? Next time I’ll make a separate batch for you.”
“I made her brownies just the other day!” Toaster piped up and Equo gave her a jab to the elbow “Yea, she did not eat a single one-ow!” She rubbed her sides as Echo opened the bag. “Anyways, here, I got some candies instead.”
“Oh sweet!” Horns grinned.
“Well yes, some are. I also got some sour too.” She chuckled as she handed out their candies, each of the got a bundle wrapped in a soft colored cloth matching their vein color. “Eat that and then I suggest doing some more tactical practice.”
Gamma nodded “I should be back tonight, try to make sure today is still productive” She looked at each of them “No shenanigans, just work. Alright?”
The six nodded their head and said in unisons “Okay fine” “All Right!” “If you say so.”
“Take care guys!” Echo waved and Gamma opened, following her out the two headed back to the 99er’s compound.
The group shuffled to their living room to unwrap their gifts.
Peony squealed with glee and shoved the bag into her friends face to show “Lookit! Skittles and Starburst!”
Equo shouted in glee and raised her above her head “A Chocolate bar! I’d kill a man for this much!”
“Good thing you didn’t have to!” Peony shot her a look and the painter grinned “Darn.”
Horns held up a fistful of his candy “I got Rockets!” The group quickly glanced his way and Callow had to lean over, inspecting the candies in his hand “Smarties… Not rockets, it's okay everybody”
“You thought I had gotten actually rockets from Echo?” Horns snorted and looked from virus to virus. “Actually” Glitch said as she poked around in her bag “It would not surprise me one bit.”
“Yeah, same” Peony said giving a slight shrug. Equo murmured “We kind of have a track record for pulling pranks, so she might’ve tried to return the favor..”
Glitch chuckled “That is true!” she pulled out a peanut butter candy and popped it in her mouth. After several chews the cat stuck out her tongue, the peanut butter was sticking to the roof of her mouth.
Callow held back a chuckle as he watched Glitch struggle for a moment, he unwrapped his lollipop and stuck it in his mouth, crunching on it to get to the gum center. The cyber cat knit her eyebrows and frowned.
Toaster practically doubled over laughing in a fit of giggles when she spotted the poor predicament that Glitch was in “OH man!” she laughed pointing “What’s wrong Glitch? Cat got your tongue!”
“That wasn’t even funn-Oh Glitch… You poor thing” Equo had to cup her mouth to hold back her giggles as Peony spoke.
Toaster snickered “Oh man” Toaster had gotten up and sauntered over to the cat to tease her more. Glitch mumbled something but it was lost in the stuck mouth, by her expression it was most likely something extremely rude.
Callow called over “Oh hush Toaster, and eat your snickers bar. You get a little punny when you’re hungry”
Horns held back a snort and the gator boy flashed him a grateful grin.
Toaster spun around with an unamused expression and Glitch lumbered out of the room, tail flicking angrily behind her.
“How do you know Echo gave her a snickers bar?” Equo raised an eyebrow.
Toaster tried to cut him off but Callow avoided the hand and said “It’s the only thing Echo ever gives her.”
Glitch had wandered back in, a notepad and pen in her hand. She plopped down between Equo and Peony, something scribbled on the paper Peony flashed a smirk and said “Glitch says that there aren’t enough snickers bars in the world to fix her.”

“She’s guilty!” Toaster spat. “Just look at that face of hers!” She pointed through the tinted window into the interrogation room where on the other side a figure was strapped to the chair. The virus had stopped struggling and was currently slumped in the chair, binds around its wrists held it in place and from escaping along with the device on the table to keep its powers dulled.
“We don’t know that for sure” Gamma pointed out as she ran a hand through her hair, she let out a sigh and slumped in the chair even further.
-
Inside of the small interrogation room, Peony and Equo were currently grilling the cyber girl. “We know you took it!” Peony said placing her hands on her hips.
“I did not.” She spat angrily.
“Oh posh!” Equo chimed in “You were found at the scene of the crime!”
-
Callow rested his head on his hand, his yellow veins flickered with annoyance and he let out a low rumble “This is going nowhere.”
Horns was also watching the interrogation from the other side “Do you think Peo and Eq are being a bit harsh?”
Toaster scoffed “Not a bit. In fact I would go in there myself and slap her around a bit! Then maybe we would get the answers we wanted!”
“Gamma?” The alligator turned his head and adjusted his tophat, he wanted to know his leader's thoughts of the matter “What do you think?”
The small female was silent for a moment, her wings fluttered and the metal clinked. “I don’t want to use force… But...I’m not sure”
-
Equo raked her hands through her hair, her eyes shut with annoyance. Her short blonde hair stuck up at odd angles and Peony was also trying to hide her annoyance, she shifted her hips slightly. The restrained virus sat with a guarded expression, she waited for one of them to speak. “Fine.” Peony said “Say that we believe you. That you did not do it… Then who would have done it?”
“I told you everything.” she said “I don’t know who took it, but It wasn’t me! I was just there when you guys came in.”
“At the wrong place at the wrong time? Tch? Like we even believe that story!” The brunet grumbled
“Do you know how many times we’ve heard that story!” Equo slammed her hands on the table, leaning forward with bared teeth.
“I would know! I’ve been there with you” The virus hissed, her ears pinned back.
“Glitch” Peony said as she rubbed at her eyes “Just tell why you took them.”
“FOR THE LAST TIME IT WASN’T ME! I’M INNOCENT”
Knocking at the door made the trio look, Callow, Horns and Toaster had come relieve the duo “Gamma says it’s time to switch.”
“Look like you two need a break” Callow noting taking in the two girl’s disheveled appearance.
“You got that right, she’s hard to crack.” Equo spoke standing up straight.
“You guys all honestly believe that I took the cookies!?” Glitch sounded appalled.
“You were the only one in the kitchen today when Echo gave them to us!” Toaster snapped back.
“Yeah!” Peony said crossing her arms tapping her foot “How do you explain that!”
Glitch knitted her eyebrows “I don’t know. But what I do know is that cats can’t eat chocolate. So there for your stupid chocolate chip cookies would have been safe from me!.”
“What?” Horns said and then raised his eyebrows.
Equo smacked her forehead and Peony grumbled sometime rudely under her breath for forgetting.
“I didn’t eat Echo’s cookies because if I had I would have died by now.” Glitch pointed out, her tail twitching in annoyance. “Now can you please let me go?”
Callow sauntered forward as Gamma’s voice crackled to life on the intercom “Sorry…”
Toaster smirked “Now at least I know what type of cake to make you for your Host’s next birthday…”

“Gamma!” The shrill voice screeched through the house.
Flicking an ear, Glitch perked her head up. She turned to the 99er beside her, the two had been discussing possible ways to infiltrate an underground palace for their team’s next mission, the brunette cast her a glance with an eyebrow raised. When Glitch wiggled her eyebrows back she rolled her eyes and stood up. Smirking the cybercat mewed “You’re so popular today”
“What could it be this time?”
“Let’s find out” Glitch shrugged and got up, trailing after the other as she padded through their team’s compound.
“GAMMA!” The voice was louder and Glitch folded her ears back. “Its Horns, sounds like he is in distress?”
Gamma’s wings fluttered as the duo heard something crash and break “Go”
Stepping back, Glitch watched Gamma’s metallic wings unfurl, they started up with a soft humming sound and Gamma said “Race ya?” And she went shooting down the hallway, rounding the corner easily and out of sight in seconds.
“Eat my dust” Glitch fell onto all fours and bolted after her, she swung her tail to turn the corner quickly.
~-~
Gamma was at the doorway with the cybercat right on her heels, the two stepped into the room and immediately had something thrown at them.
Gamma darted up into the air, her wings recoiled slightly, ready to aim and Glitch ducked, pressing herself against the floor. She felt something land on her and crumpled. “OPH!”
Gamma turned to look and growled “Toaster! What are you doing?!”
The virus onto of Glitch looked up with a smirk. “Figured you two needed a break. Play with us”
Glitch trembled beneath her, enraged she shouted “Like we weren’t busy!” She spat and pushed herself up.
“You two have been working too hard” Horns voice made the trio turn. The small little cow boy smiled at them and Gamma descended, her feet touched the floor and her wings folded back up. He appeared to be wet, his little hoodie darkened with water marks, Peony and Equo stood beside him, their hands behind their back trying to seem innocent as angels.
“Yes, and we were, and we are almost done.” Gamma smiled and Glitch brushed herself off “We will come find you when we are done.”
Toaster let out a puff of air, she put her hands in the air and with a smirk said “Alright then… you asked for it…CALLOW NOW!”
“Asked for-?” Glitch’s voice rose to a screech as she was sprayed in the back with water.
Peony and Equo pulled their water guns from behind their back and aimed at them. Smirks adorned their faces and giggling with glee as they soaked the two unarmed.
Toaster tiled her head back and laughed, Glitch had crouched down covering her head, her tail curled around her.
Gamma was showered by Peony and Equo, Horn had darted away laughing to retrieve his gun. Putting her hands up she sputtered “Guys! Stop this at once!”
“Never!” Callow cackled, he was wielding two water guns, one on both of the unarmed viruses.
Glitch hisses, she rolled onto her side and kicked out her legs, catching the back of Callow’s knees and bringing him down quickly. She pulled the guns from his hand and tossed them to Gamma who took them grateful for the weaponry. The cat turn turned to Toaster who smirked “Here kitty kitty” she taunted.
Gamma laughed despite the outnumbered predicament “Not how I imagined how battle practice would go, but its fun!”
“Speak for yourself” Glitch muttered.
“We should do this more often!” Equo laughed at the soaking cat and Peony gave her one last squirt. “Oh, sorry, thought you looked a bit dry.”
A/N: Anon 42 “I swear it was an accident.” Glitch/Toaster. Probably the shortest one yet I’m so sorry. For Larka’s Virus Community, voiceoflarka I hope someone enjoys this thing starring brink-of-madnuss my mortal enemy you motherfucker
Toaster stared down the distance between them, which she immediately deemed to be too small. There needed to be more room, and her mind was racing as she caught Glitch’s arm when the virus tripped over her own tail. “Be careful,” Toaster warns, face close enough that Glitch felt her breath. The cat virus opened her mouth to reply at the same moment she went to push away, fumbling and pressing her lips against Toaster’s, who shot away from her faster than anything she’d ever seen before.
Now in completely opposite corners of the living room, they immediately began a staring war until someone got up to apologize, which wouldn’t happen soon considering they were both rather stubborn. Or, Toaster was, when it came to Glitch. Glitch was growing considerably weaker, missing the feeling of Toaster being close. Having her best friend so far away made it that much harder to taunt her with kind words and false promises.
Glitch was glaring daggers across the room, Toaster returning her icy glare and keeping a stony silence throughout the room. The entire house was blanketed in silence, everyone either out or hiding in their room. “Glitch,” Toaster practically snarls at her, purple eyes narrowed in burning fury that only Toaster held in her. Evident from years of expertly bottled up emotions. “Toaster, it was an accident baby,” she replied, her voice a quiet plea. “I swear,” she breathes out as Toaster stands to cross the room and glare down at her.
Toaster said nothing, still numbly aware of the feeling of Glitch’s lips against hers. “I know it was an accident,” she grumbles, slowly reaching up to grab Glitch’s chin, none too gentle but not roughly. “Make sure it doesn’t happen again,” she growled, letting go and stepping away just as Gamma stepped in the door, a question in her eyes that stayed there instead of voicing itself.
