Surprised. Two of Reishi's kits are actually at pretty good weights! I pulled out the darker black buck and went "Woah, you're bigger than you look." 5 lbs, 7 oz. The bitter doe I'm keeping is 5 lbs, 8 oz. Not bad at all. Smallest is the heavily-silvered black buck. 4 lbs, 12 oz.
That smaller black buck is narrow in the shoulder, and will be a cull. Possibly the smallest bitter doe, too. The rest are looking pretty decent so far, which was unexpected. Guess they got more of Salem's genes in them. Pretty nice width and proper toplines. I don't care so much for their head-shyness, though. It's funny their dad (Erebus) is the exact same way, and they're ALL like that.
