So today I found out that flying Vehicons are called Eradicons. Anyone else didn't know this?

Dear Vector Prime, what is your position on the value of Vehicon life regarding Uniend’s Vehicons? Seeing as how they have their own voices, personalities, and in 2015’s Robots in Disguse, their own paint jobs, don't you find a little concerning how the Autobots casually maimed and dismembered them, even joking about it? Is it possible that the Autobots are suffering from empathy fatigue given how much they have had to go through?

Dear Vehicon Valuer,

It's not just a case of Vehicon life. During the great wars, many on both sides were slaughtered to such a degree that death became easy. But you are right that there is a certain ease to eliminating those who have concealed their identity.

The Eradicon Decree that Megatron issued gave him the army he wished—with feature-concealing armor and a uniform appearance, all the better to eradicate their individuality. Those Decepticons who took up the cause found it liberating; as no Autobot could tell who was who, the Vehicons stopped fearing reprisals, and became ever more brutal.

The reprisals came nonetheless, and when they did, they were indiscriminate. The Autobots treated the Vehicons as they had presented themselves: indistinguishable and interchangeable, all to blame for the crimes of their fellows. Thus, while the Vehicons were more effective, they also took far higher losses.

In the end Megatron had to relent. He negotiated with the Autobots and new rules of warfare were outlined. The Vehicons were split into two castes. Worker, and Warrior. The former were given a variant of their armour, marked with dual optic-masks, and there was an agreement that they would not be sent into battle, and nor would they be attacked—with natural allowances for self defence.

Many questioned Optimus Prime's decision to agree to this, but in exchange he was able to get a large number of organic worlds declared off-limits to Decepticon expansion, which he felt was a worthy goal.
