The Start of This Journey.

I have long been in love with writing, since my teens but I often leave work unfinished and forgotten. This was the case with the story I am currently working on. I began it a number of years ago but it became no more than a few ideas on a scrape piece of paper. Other ideas came and when, numerous works were started and abandoned. I took up Fan Fiction (the Harry Potter variety), then RPGing (HP), and even taking part in NaNoWriMo a number of years, but life go in the way and I slowly began writing less. I brought a home, had a child and got married and before I knew it writing wasn’t part of my life anymore.

I dipped my toe back into writing after becoming obsessed with Criminal Minds and more precisely MGG the amazing man behind the delightful Dr Reid. My mummy crash on the nerdy genius led me to begin Fanfiction again and this in turn led me back to NaNoWriMo. Together my relighted writers flame along with my obsession of Dr Reid my mind wondered back to the old idea I had all them years ago. I began scribbling down some more ideas and then it just began flowing. This started around Christmas last year, I took a break when I stumbled on a lack of extended ideas. Around April time I picked up my notebook again and slowly began developing the back story and now in August I am writing more of the story than I could of ever imagined.

It is still bare looking with only a handful of scenes written, but it is a lot further along than it has ever been. Basilieos who in December was moulded around MGG has now developed into an almost perfect imagine of Kristian Schmid (I developed a slight addiction to Sea Patrol while on maternity leave with baby number two). My note, while great for thoughts on the move are slowing down my creativity due to my handwriting skills being a lot slower than my typing skills.  So this is where I will put the over spill of ideas, and for anyone who has the misfortune of stumbling across this blog, you’ll see a peek of what goes on in  my head 24/7.
