Honestly? It could be just a dream or even a figment of the other’s imagination. Anything would be plausible since the Master is mentioned. To the point the Master isn’t quite sure that he’s all there to being with. So many events needed to take place, moves and people involved that at this point there’s been haunting doubts the hooded man is even here at all.
Immediately perking up at hearing him call back. For a few moments there he had thought he wasn’t heard!
