I like to think that Toshinori really admires Shota for his style of heroism. Given that Shota's quirk isn't always reliable for every villain encounter, and affords him no physical or mental boosts or protections, he's basically the prototypical ideal of a quirkless hero- which is something that means a lot to Toshi. Of course he holds a lot of respect for fellow heroes (assuming they're not terrible people), but Eraserhead is one hero that truly inspires him.

So basically Shota isn't aware of it, but All Might is actually a huge Eraserhead fanboy 😂

The girl nodded her head silently, looking intently at the table.

Kineko always seemed to walk a very grey line between being blunt and playing things close to her chest. Most of the time she was honest and straightforward when she wanted things (of non-monetary value at least) or when she thought people needed to know what she felt or thought. Other times, particularly when it came to Shota she was...hesitant, walking on eggshells while trying to figure out exactly how to be...family.

This wasn't the first time she'd been musing on something since he'd taken her in. But there had been one specific thing lately on her mind, something she was scared to ask him about. Even as he'd probably caught her with her mouth open prepared to ask and deciding against it in the end. This seemed like one of those times...

Kineko turned to finally face him, looking up into a face she had come to trust. A man whose words were honest, who meant exactly what he said. So when he said she could talk to him about anything that truly meant...Kineko felt her tail wrap nervously around her ankle. "Can I call you dad now?" she asked softly. "I...I've been wanting to, but I didn't want to make you upset if you....well..." She looked away. "If you didn't want that..."

To become even more breathless than he already was had to be some kind of feat for Toshinori then. The air in his barely working lungs was already limited, and being in the position he was in right then certainly was not helping. . . though it seemed as if the blonde wasn't in the mood to even think of complaining. His mind was most likely racing a bit too much for that to even be a passing thought, really. He was so hyper aware of his surroundings. The temperature of the room ( that Shota had so kindly made sure was perfect ) and the barely-there dip of the bed where he sat. His back wasn't its usual hunch, but instead ram-rod straight and pressed to the wall behind him. Long legs bent at the knee, so as to not hang off said bed thanks to his ridiculous height. The only article of clothing he'd let be carefully removed form his body had been his shirt, left with his upper half exposed, out there. Shota had seen his scarring already, sure, but somehow in that moment it felt as if it were taunting him. Reminding him how imperfect he was. . . but Shota never minded, and that is what kept him from curling away on himself. Instead he stared, eyes a little wide, lips parted. A slightly uneven inhale, held tight, then carefully released. Maybe a laugh, or maybe a sound of uncertainty. His hands were beside his own hips, long digits curled in the sheets.

" Ah, that's — well. . . ahem. . . " Nervousness, but beneath that was something almost akin to excitement. Vibrating beneath his skin, leaving the older man to shift, to dance bright eyes across Shota's ever-so stoic existence before him. " So you'd like me to do all the work, then. . ? " The shyness was there, as it might always be, but there was a lingering hint of a tease just beside it.

"The  one  thing  I  can't  do  is  threaten  Aizawa  to  sleep  on  the  couch.  I  also  can't  threaten  to  take  away  affection.  What  I  can  threaten  is  not  letting  him  see  Sushi  for  a  few  days." @eraserisms

With his power growing, Aizen had learned that his garganta could open more than a split between the Living and Soul worlds, but into other Living Worlds as well. He'd started to slip into some of them, to watch, to learn the differences, to see if any of the humans in those worlds were worthy of his time.

Eventually, though, he found a world where the humans seemed to have broken the boundaries of their own souls and now carried powers as if they carried zanpaktou. The power that should have one day protected them, was there at their disposal already. It was this world that most intrigued him; even if very few had any power worth actually caring about.

But there was one.

One man who's ability could actually prove useful to his cause. It was this man that he sent Gin and Tousen to bring back to him.

Aizen was sitting and watching the moon when the garganta opened, Tousen's scowl telling him the man had fought back. Good, he needed good fighters under him.

Lips curled in his usual indulgent smile, the brunet watched as Gin pushed this human through the garganta ahead of himself. There was amusement in his dark gaze at the way the silver haired man pushed his new warrior to his knees on the stone. His pet still had Shinso drawn, but he'd given the order not to hurt this man before sending his most trusted to fetch him. Aizawa Shota had an important role to play in the upcoming months, after all.

"I take it that my suggestion worked?" His gaze tracked over all three men before him, noting a lack of any real wounds.

"Perfectly, Lord Aizen." Gin's voice lilted brightly as he looked up at his God. "He gave dear Tousen a little trouble, but once I informed him of how my Shinso works and that we would happily visit Miss Eri instead if he didn't care to come with us, he decided to accompany us."

"Thank you, Gin. I appreciate your efforts." There was a hint of darkness in his voice, but one that only he and Gin needed to understand, before he turned his attention to the kneeling man. "It's good to meet you in person, Aizawa Shota. I'd like to welcome you to your new home, here in Los Noches."

The sounds of a tamed liveliness hit Aizawa when he entered Brink. The lounge bar was occupied but hardly overwhelming. There were still open seats and booths to be had, and the smooth tones of a jazz band played on the bar's stage.

All in all, a good spot to decompress.

And there was the bartender, a towering hulk of a stranger with a warm smile on his face as he waved over his newest patron.

"I don't know what the future holds, all I know is that I want you in it." For Kylie

Kylie's wide eyes teared up as Shota pulled out a small box. "Sh-shit," he mumbled, tears falling as his lips parted in surprise. He laughed softly, then pulled his boyfriend into a long, slow kiss, with one hand resting on Shota's waist. "Y'always pick a helluva time t'be cute wit me, Scarfy," he murmured, voice shaking. "Yeah. Yes, yeah I'm gonna marry you."

He never thought he'd get married, much less have a steady relationship after he left New Orleans. But he couldn't imagine loving anyone but Shota Aizawa at that point, either.
