ope. okay that's actually on me for forgetting my own headcanons ngl. the fear of fire was definitely a smaller one that didn't take as intense hold in my memory banks I guess.

But I also think it could still be true. There's quite a bit of potential that Kongo's arson habit got out of control and I've already mentioned that Kongo isn't immune to guilt in regards to hurting people in some cases - especially in how and why they got hurt.

like Kongo's warped in some ways sure, but like even he has some limits like i've mentioned. but i could imagine a situation that when he started getting more "aggressive" in his arson choices that someone got really hurt which wasn't his intention - and/or he himself got hurt and he grew genuinely afraid of fire at that point and now can't handle it.
