Honestly, the last few months have been like... A Lot, lol. I definitely haven't gotten back to my funtime hobbies the way that I wanted to and hoped to- feeling generally kind of overwhelmed and tired doesn't really inspire my creativity :^(

But I love this blog and I miss you guys, so I really hope to be more active soon! In the meantime, everyone is always welcome to DM me, and friends/followers are welcome to ask for my Discord! :^)

"Poorly." He answered honestly, still staring fixedly down at the stack of paperwork, his forehead braced against one hand- his exhaustion was plainly evident.

Had it always been so difficult to parse text? Probably- he'd always had a significant amount of help from his employees in this particular area, and his school grades before that were an equally glaring indictment.. Sighing, Toshinori finally gave up and slid the paperwork aside, rubbing his eyes.

"Maybe I need a break."

His expression gained a touch of abashed amusement and he glanced away- almost shy. "Of course I do- but I find that a smile can work wonders for a lot of things, not least among them being a confidence boost! Besides, when everyone is happy to see me, and I can show them that I'm also happy to be there.. Well, that makes me feel better too! Even when things look daunting."

"Having the trust of the people.. That is truly something to be grateful for." His hands rested on his hips as he canted his head to the side just a bit. "And I think that's a good enough reason to smile, don't you?"

"Oh come along now, Eraserhead!" All Might laughed aloud, his amusement loud and genuine and infectious. One of his massive hands rested convivially on the smaller hero's shoulder as he grinned brightly down at him.

"Surely you have at least a few minutes to smell the roses- it's the little joys in life that make it worth living! Like.. Rain on the window, or taking the scenic route! Oh, or cats! You like cats, right?"

“I’m still alive, as you see.”

"You are.. And I think that's a suitable reason to have hope." Foolish though it may be, but a fool’s hope was still better than none. "I haven’t come to spy, and I don't think I'd do a very good job of it even if I had. Really it’s more of a personal curiosity.."

He took a few tentative steps closer, though not enough to constitute a conversational distance- the tension remained eminently clear. But even displaying an abundance of caution, there was no fear in his manner. Whether a byproduct of confidence in knowing there was no benefit to harming him, or a reckless bravery uncharacteristic of his stature was difficult to determine.

"I would like to understand you better, but secondhand accounts don’t always create an accurate picture. I’m sure you’re aware of that."

The hero looked over at the sudden question, visibly surprised. He bit his lips, glancing away thoughtfully before a softer, almost tentative smile crept back in.

"Well.. Of course! I’m only human, after all. I just think it's good practice to face your challenges with a positive attitude! For the sort of work that I do--it's very people-forward, you know--so it really pays to be approachable! If someone needed my help, I would never want them to feel hesitant about asking for it!”

All Might then turned toward the other hero and laughed a bit, having apparently regained his confidence after the brief moment of confusion caused by such a direct question.

"But I like the honesty of your commentary, Eraserhead! Your candor is always quite refreshing!"

Generally Toshinori feels very favorably about the idea. He's always deeply desired the experience of falling in love, being in love, being loved and expressing love to a partner- to find someone who really sees him and likes what they see. He’s a romantic at heart, hopelessly so, but he’s largely set his desires aside in favor of his duty to the public.

He just doesn’t have the time to devote to those pursuits, and even if he did, the process of finding a suitable partner has only ever become increasingly more complicated with his rise to fame and the media circus that surrounds the Hero profession. Romantic love is something he admires from a distance, but has unfortunately accepted that he may never get to have.

Toshinori blinked, confused, as the reality of his abrupt change of surroundings fully set in. Not even moments ago he'd been walking on campus- at least that's the last thing he could remember. But now.. Had he fallen victim to some misfired quirk? Perhaps some sort of teleportation attempt gone awry? More importantly- where was he?

Bewildered, Toshinori turned around, trying to find some sort of identifying signage or maybe someone to talk to- some way to get his bearings. But the clean, modern hallway was as empty as it was unfamiliar.. And so preoccupied with his disorientation, he didn't even notice the door swinging open in front of him until it quite literally hit him in the face.

"Ow--" The edge of the door struck him with a dull thud, bringing him rudely back to the present and he stumbled back, his hands shooting up to soothe his smarting nose. The girl peering around the door, presumably the one who had opened it, was also unfamiliar, with bright blue eyes to rival his own. But she looked friendly and that was enough of a relief for him to forget about any lingering embarrassment over his blunder.

"Whoops, my mistake, sorry about that!" He started cheerily in English, offering her a bright smile.

The massive blond taking up the entirety of the sidewalk didn't even appear to notice Eraserhead's approach. His expression was deeply bewildered as he looked one way and then the other, a broad hand coming to rest on his hip, the other one finding its way up to the back of his neck.

.. It was almost uncanny how much he resembled All Might. Right down to his vertically inclined bangs and the obnoxious belt buckle holding up his dated cargo pants. And though he was a bit slimmer and significantly younger, at a glance it would have been a very easy mistake to make. When his lightning blue gaze fell on the hero--also eerily reminiscent of Japan's No. 1--his confusion lifted and his handsome face lit up with an absolutely brilliant smile.

"Oh, hi there!" He chirped cheerfully in English, offering Shota a friendly wave. "Sorry to bother you but, uh.. I'm afraid I may be a little bit lost! I could really use some directions."
