CNN’s @KFILE reveals the man leading the hantavirus response in the U.S. is a specialist in penile implants with little public health experience and hosted a podcast called “Erection Connection.”
The official in question is Dr. Brian Christine, the Trump administration’s Assistant Secretary for Health. He’s a physician, but his career background is primarily as a urologist specializing in men’s sexual health/penile implants, not infectious disease epidemiology or outbreak management. CNN’s KFile also reported he previously hosted a video series called “Erection Connection.” ~ People Magazine
