What could be called memories inside an individual who could only be described as blank. There were sensations she could recall, but most of them passed by without comment. Those happy days with him, she had let them all go by, refusing to either moving away from them or indulge in them. She was entirely passive. It was no wonder then, it had slipped away from her fingertips.
It was justice, probably. A punishment for a being like herself.
Ever since she entered this city, she had a vague sensation that she was fundamentally lacking in something, or maybe someone. With no parents to care or pay for her, and no puppy to tug at her heels, it was inevitable really that she would end out on the streets. However it seemed, her instincts were stronger than her emptiness, if only by a small amount. They kept her walking and looking for something.
Or someone, maybe.
She walked, shuffling forward like a zombie. A lone girl dressed only in a kimono standing amongst the rain could be described as beautiful. The rain drops may have been dancing around her, rather than simply falling. Shiki did not think so though. She was very unlike the rain, she thought as her limbs grew heavier from walking all day long. Soon though, even the void overcame her muscles, as those legs collapsed underneath her. Yes, she was nothing like rain, there was nothing particularly graceful about this fall. Those were her last thoughts before losing consciousness.
