Ergodox First Thoughts... Current Cons: - the wrist rests are silicone so basically dust/doghair magnets - keycaps are bigger than I’m used to - currently looking for new keycaps - figuring out the best key layout for my style of work and not getting frustrated - the layout is different (ortholinear) which definitely takes some getting used to and is causing to mishit keys - frequent typos until I get used to the layout, muscle memory of a standard keyboard and ortholinear are the biggest factors here Current Pros: - custom mapping of key combos is awesome! - example: having a key dedicated to copy/paste, and screenshot - each key can have a different output based on if it’s tapped, held, double-tapped, or tapped then held so a single key could have up to 4 different outputs based on how you hit it - one of their suggestions is to eliminate the need for shift keys by having a key do the shifted action by holding the key down - definitely enjoying the split/tilt feeling again without the disconnection issues I had with my sculpt #ergodox #ergodoxez #mechanicalkeyboard #gazzew #gazzewbobau4 #ergonomic #keycaps #coder #programmer #womeninstem #womenwhocode https://www.instagram.com/p/CdWC3kUO38m/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
