During his first year at architectural school, Sean Riley was likely sitting at a drafting table when he first thought of an alternative to those ubiquitous, cramp-inducing pen knives. Since the moment that idea sparked, he’s sketched, carved, and 3D-printed over 100 prototypes. As a result of trial and error, the final version of the Ergo Kiwi provides two general solutions: an organic form that allows the highest level of comfort when held in any position, and a shape that can help reduce the hyperextension that occurs in the index finger with the use of standard pen knives.
Ultimately, Riley believes that a design that reduces stress and hand strain promotes prolonged productivity. It’s also bilaterally symmetrical, so both righties and lefties can use with utmost comfort. Read more about the specs and features right over here!
