I was in an imitation mood, so this is my take on an Arakawa sketch of Team Mustang featuring my FMA fankids who make up the next-gen Team Mustang.

The buff guy in the back is Daniel “Niel” Brosh. DennyMaria son. His weapon of choice is his fists, but he’ll settle for heavy firearms.

Hanging on Niel’s arm is Araminta “Minty” Brosh. Daughter of Elicia Hughes and Denny’s younger brother Harrison (the one who in canon wants to use Denny’s telescope to watch the eclipse). Minty’s weapon of choice is her camera, as she’s the team’s PR representative.

In front of Niel is Vincent “Vince” Falman. VatoSheska son (3rd of 3 children). His weapon of choice is his photographic memory, and he keeps the team up to date with the latest technology.

Beside Vince is Arthur Knox. Grandson of Dr. Knox. His weapon of choice is a scalpel, as he’s the team’s field medic.

The curly-haired gal is Alexis “Lex” Havoc. JeanRebecca daughter. Her weapon of choice is explosives, but she can handle a sniper rifle as well.

Second from the front is Eric Elric. EdWin son (4th of 7 children). His weapon of choice is alchemy, and he is the team’s second in command.

Finally, in the very front is Charlotte “Lot” Hawkeye Mustang. RoyAi child. Their weapon of choice is strategy, but they carry handguns for when even the best-laid plans inevitably go wrong.

21. Who is your OC’s best friend?

Despite everything, it’s probably still Franz, in Eric’s heart of hearts.

39. Who is your OC’s biggest enemy?

Pride, for sure. He poses the biggest threat to Eric’s various goals.

These three are born within about four months of each other (Eric, Franz, then Lotte) and, because their parents are all very close (Edward&Winry, Roy&Riza, and Carter&Solaris), the trio become fast playmates. Things get more… complicated when they hit their teenage years. Eric and Lotte start spending more exclusive time together (partly because Roy is Eric's alchemy teacher), and… well I don't want to spoil too much, but Franz has a dramatic reaction to this development. The chain of events leads to Franz stealing all of his father's neurological alchemy research and running off to find his "uncle," Jay Bradley, to help him overthrow the reforms Roy had begun to put into place as Führer.

In the "main" part of the story, these three are all adults, but I wanted to draw their teenage selves from the good old days before things get awkward and secretive. And before you ask, that is Franz's natural hair color. He dyes it the dark red you may be more familiar with later.
