Mostanában annyi ajtó csukódik be mögöttem...

RANDOM WEEK
Continuing last week's world war thematic, here is an illustration idea for Eric Knight's This Above All. It's a book I thoroughly hated (my friend hyped it up as "one of the best chemistry between two lovers"... and I have never read a romance so much without chemistry, I was baffled how little the two characters had in their relationship... I read this book three years ago and I'm still offended by it. End of the lamenting). Anyway there was this description and I was struck buy the idea of this bombbed city and the top hat on the road (technically it's not period accurate but let's imagine it belongs to an entertainer or something 😉).
When I was a kid, my family had a dog named Blu. In my mind, he was a Lassie dog.
☑️ Collie
☑️ Loyal
☑️ Gentle
☑️ Kind
Blu was such a sweet boy and he practically raised our cat, Karma. When she was a kitten we’d often “lose her” and then discover her snuggled up under Blu’s fur.
Blu was also known to find baby squirrels that fell out of trees and hold them like they were his.
Blu passed away when I was young, but he will always hold a very special place in my heart. Whenever I read Lassie Come-Home I think of him ♥️
