it seems like most peoples inital reaction to jan and wayne as a couple was that they were gay. while they aren't, i can see why people would think that as jan kinda came off as a femenine man in the first few sketches.
however i'm curious, how much would jan change, if at all if she were simply a gay man? don't get me wrong, they're already iconic as is but they'd be equally iconic as a gay couple. i also wonder if there dynamic would change or stay the same.
ik i've done a lot of rambling just now but i've got some more things i want to express on here about jan and wayne, so long as @janenthusiast doesn't mind 😅
what if we kissed...
on the heart shaped water bed from tom goes to the mayor
heres a really interesting piece of rubber hose animation from the tom goes to the tom goes to the mayor episode, glass eyes. originally aired on september 4th, 2006.
for a show that rarely animates properly (not that i mind i might add), this is really cool and i'd love to know who did this peice.
just leave Joy; tom, the mayor is right there
early jan and wayne, yes they call themselves tim and eric but its basically married news team
they're gay and in love i-
in the tom goes to the mayor episode, spray a carpet or rug, it is revealed jan was born in 1957. in the tim and eric awesome show great job episode friends, it is revealed wayne was born in 1965.
this means there is an 8 year age gap betweeen jan and wayne skylar, and these are their ages in the following shows
tom goes to the mayor (2004)- 47 (jan) and 39 (wayne)
tim and eric awesome show great job (2007)- 50 (jan) and 42 (wayne)
check it out with dr steve brule (2010)- 53 (jan) and 45 (wayne)
these are just the ages for the beginning of the each show and if my math is wrong then feel free to correct me :)
honestly this tim and eric parody of all star is better than the actual song lol
from the season 1 episode vehicular manslaughter
