(With an add’l pic form 1968, ( l to r) Dickie Peterson, Randy Holden and Paul Whaley) Blue Cheer was a San-Francisco based psychedelic blues-rock band, formed in 1966. They supposedly got their name from one of Bear Owsley's LSD brands. Eric Albronda and Jerry Russell co-founded the band, wanting to break into the burgeoning San-Francisco rock scene.
