A Brief History of Album Covers, 2017. It’s A Beautiful Day. “It’s A Beautiful Day” [1969]. The sky really was the limit for It’s A Beautiful Day, whose incorporation of flute, violin and keyboards gave them a musical edge over some of their better-known San Francisco contemporaries. Though in tune with strands of the emerging prog-rock scene, they weren’t afraid to incorporate folk, classic and arguably, even world music into their wildly eclectic repertoire.
