I was gone for so long; Some might say That if I don’t belong I should have stayed away But, you know Yesterdays just don’t let go In the midnight sunshine All the weight Bearing on my mind (that) These ticking clocks create Seemed to fade Like the sun consumes the shade I must lay my head down I’m worn thin Asking where and how I’ll get some peace within I’m resigned; Should I search, I can not find Dissipating contrails Framed the blue In a lattice quilt Of drifting residue Then diverged I cannot subdue this urge
