To say that Alumina was devastated when she lost track of Eric Draven would’ve been an understatement. She had known the undead man for quite a while and, probably unbeknownst to him, she had fallen in love with him. Unfortunately, Alumina never got the chance to tell him that before he seemingly vanished off the face of the earth. She looked for him everywhere, even using Tony’s sophisticated cameras and tracking systems in an attempt to find him. Sadly though, all of her attempts were unsuccessful and she couldn’t help but think that he passed on for real and was finally reunited with his one true love.
After all, he could never love her back. He was only kept alive because of the need for revenge he felt for his precious Shelly.
One night when Alumina was out and about walking, just trying to get some fresh air and be away from Tony for one second, she passed by Eric’s old building. The old, burned, broken down building with the large circular window at its peak. She stopped and looked up at the window as her glow dimmed and tears pooled in her eyes. Letting out a heavy sigh, Alumina decided to go up there one last time... just to say goodbye.
When she entered the apartment, the only light in the room was from the glow of her hair and eyes. It looked far more run down and dilapidated than she remembered, but it still brought back fond memories of the man she loved. Alumina ran her fingers along the dust covered furniture and smiled at the thought of Eric.
And then she approached the window and looked out, a few tears finally slipping down her cheeks. She was ready to finally let go of him...
Until she heard the loud caw of a large crow from behind her.
A chill ran down her spine at the noise as she slowly, very slowly, turned around and came face to face with a familiar man. Her glow immediately brightened when she saw him standing there and Alumina swore she felt her heart stop.
“Eric...” She breathed, her voice cracking as she stared at him, frozen in place and unable to move, “No.... I’m just hallucinating... you’ve been gone for so long...” She whimpered, running both hands through her hair and starting to tremble as she tried to force herself to stop imagining things, “Please stop torturing me, brain!”
