🙌🏾❤️🙌🏾 #ArtistsOnArtists is a new program series at the @studiomuseum that invites contemporary artists to respond to specific works on view in the galleries with a focus on form and process. This special gallery talk is presented on the occasion of #AlmaThomas, an exhibition that examines the evolution of an artist who created a highly personal style that expanded upon traditional Abstract Expressionist and Washington Color School practices through experimentations with color, line and pattern. Join us as #MikeCloud, #LeslieHewitt and #EricMack discuss Thomas as a formalist, exploring works from every period in her dynamic career, including rarely exhibited sketches, watercolors and early abstractions, as well as her signature canvases. This program is free with Museum admission and will feature three, twenty-minute artist talks in the galleries, followed by a Q&A and public dialogue in the theatre. See you at 7pm!
