I read a post the other day saying how Erik's character is so tragic because he was constantly abused and berated simply because of his face that he had to resort to doing horrible things to protect himself and his livelihood. He was a genius and incredibly capable but his mental beauty was held back by his physical beauty,, and I tried to show that here, that his anger is a reflection of his sadness.

TLDR; was Feeling™️ and wanted to serve some sad Erik art :')
