Erik isn't the shyest man in the crowd, speaking up when he needs to, or when he is trying his best to stop his brother from a senseless war. However when it comes to love, Erik is still struggling like a boy trying to fight in his first shied wall.

It starts subtle, stealing looks across the room when he thinks nobody is looking.

He tries to gain attention, not in a flashy or big way, but in a quiet manner

Erik will take the route of being kind and trying to do little things for you

One evening it's helping fetch the water. Another it's removing the stale ale and meals from the table

He is always there when you need someone to lend a helping, strong hand.

Erik takes his time and lingers behind just to see you

Sometimes he gets the courage to actually speak beyond asking what you need help with

At first it's a mysterious bunch of crinkled flowers that look as if they have been trampled

Erik tried his best to be delicate with them but ended up hiding them and they got a little bent

Next it's things like fresh apples or a decent chunk of meat

Maybe he leaves a bowl of stew for you before scampering off to hide the fact he's blushing

You find trinkets for your hair, your clothing, maybe even a new bit of material for new clothes

He likes the way you smile when he leaves these things in your chambers

Affection. It's Awkward

It's not his strongest point but he tries

A bright smile

Words of praise are the easiest

Erik will tell you how nice you look, how fantastic your eyes are, or even a compliment to your hair

He's still shy but gathers the courage to ask if he can give you a kiss

It's on the cheek but small steps

He's cautious about public displays as he doesn't want to appear weak to the other men

Sitting around the fire one night, he scoots closer offering his furs as you shiver. Wrapping the thick hide around you, he follows with his arm. Bold. Daring. Worth it. Watching the fire dance, reflecting off of your eyes, he's lost. He's gone. He is all yours and that is all he wants.
