1. Why did you create your blog?
I created my blog so I could have a place for a bit of my art-loving side that I didn't think I spent enough time on otherwise. I also just wanted to be able to commend people on their own creative acheivements. So tumblr is definitely good for that. I mean sometimes I will go on and complain about my personal life but if anything thats an added bonus.
2. What’s your favorite book?
The Great Gatsby, if we're talking all-time. I think its perfect. The way its written is excellent, the passages in it are the best I've ever read in a book, and I don't think that will ever change. I also really love Catch-22. That's the only book where I couldn't help myself from laughing almost the whole way through. I do need to read more, I think, but those are the ones I enjoy most.
3. What’s the last film you cried to?
The Fall, which I saw about a month ago. I am a bit of a sap when it comes to that, though.
4. Have you ever been in love with a fictional character?
The closest I've come to being in love with a fictional character I guess is with Peppy Miller from The Artist, or Clementine Kruczynski from Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. But mostly I do have a thing for Bejo and Winslet.
5. Have you ever had a crush on a celebrity when you were young?
I didn't pay much attention to celebrities when I was young. My first celebrity crush was when Nina Dobrev was on Degrassi, because my sister used to watch that and so we did too. So when I was thirteen. That's young I guess. Wow. Nina Dobrev, my first and last celebrity crush.
6. Do you like watching films on the computer or tv?
I like watching films on the tv most of the time, that is unless I'm really tired, because I always fall asleep when I do that.
7. What’s the next film you’re going to watch in the cinema?
The Avengers. And I am very excited.
8. Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie?
Ooh. Tough. But Brad Pitt.
9. The worst film you’ve seen this year?
Valentine's Day. I really hated that. I mean not even Shirley Maclaine could save it. None of that cast could. Maybe if there weren't a thousand actors it would have been alright. But there were a thousand. So it wasn't alright. It wasn't alright at all.
10. The movie you always recommend?
Taxi Driver. When a friend comes over that hasn't seen it, I always try and make sure that it's finished by the end of the night. I think its essential for anyone who likes movies. But since I hang out with the same people a lot, I think I should also say that to those people I've recommended Take Shelter, Warrior and The Descendants lately.
11. A Tv show you watch even though you hate it?
1,000 ways to die. There's a lot I really don't like about it, but it's entertaining as hell. Crazy how stuff like it happens.
And I was also tagged by cosmo-not.
What is your oldest memory?
I think it was when I was about three and I was walking outside late at night. I snuck out of bed to just walk. I remember that my parents woke up looking for me and they must have been terrified, but I found my way back home. I had only walked around the block.
Favourite day of the week and why?
Thursday. It's a great day, just long enough in the week to do the things you want to, and then just close enough to the week being over. Also there's great television but I'll pretend that doesn't factor into my decision as much as it actually does.
What was your dreamy job when you were a kid?
I wanted to be an archeologist first haha. Based on nothing except for a archeology set I got for Christmas one year that was kind of cool. Then it was art and it never stopped being art. Just generally art, no kind of profession in particular. I wrote a bit when I was a kid but it wasn't my dream to write until a few years ago. Writing and directing movies.
The Doctor comes to your house to take you on a trip, when and where do you choose to go?
Let's kill Hitler. Seriously though, I'd want to do something like they did with Van Gogh, show someone what they're worth when they wouldn't know it otherwise. I think something like that would be good.
What is your comfort food?
I don't really have one. I guess Doritos?
What are you skilled at?
Apparently, writing. I like making things up, trying to be as clever as possible, and I can fall asleep in the most unpleasant circumstances, though. Those are some little skills. A little useless if you ask me.
Do you believe in destiny or do you think we create our own?
To some extent, both. I don't believe in coincidences. But I do believe that as far as "our path" goes, it is up to us very much. I believe destiny can only take us so far and then we have to make our own way. It sounds like I'm not able to make up my mind between the two, but I'm certain that I believe in both.
Favourite color?
Red and white. Those are nice colours. Also grey.
What is your shelter? (Not sure of the word, hope you see what I mean.)
Movies. When I watch movies, I don't have to think about my problems. I hope I'm answering this the right way.
What is your breakfast drink?
I prefer mango juice, but usually I drink milk. Cereal with milk with milk.
Favourite movie?
Taxi Driver, definitely.
