Karkat just needes a break from class. Entering the bathroom, he expected to scroll on his phone a bit and then leave when he felt better. What he got though, was the sound of sobbing. Familiar sobbing. "Eridan? Eridan, are you in here?" The sobbing turns to sniffles and a stall opens. Eridan stands in the doorway, makeup running and smudged from his tears. Karkat's worry grows. "Hey, what's wrong?" He takes Eridan's hand and pulls him to the sink, and wets a paper towel, wiping Eridan's runny eyeliner and mascara off his cheeks. "Thank you Kar. It's stupid." "No it isn't. Nothing is too stupid to cry over. Unless it's a boy that hurt you." Eridan laughs a bit, "It's not that. People keep sayin' that I can't be a man, especially if I wear makeup an' stuff. I just let it get to me." Karkat pulls Eridan into a hug, "That's not stupid. But listen to me. You are a man. I won't go off on a whole rant about the history of 'manliness' even though I could but no matter what, if you say you're a man then you are. And never let any bitch and their toxic masculinity say otherwise." Eridan hums and Karkat breaks the hug to kiss his forehead. "Do you wanna fix your makeup?" Eridan nods and Karkat grins as the bell rings. "Perfect timing. Let's go find Kanaya and ask to use hers since I know you leave yours at home... But first, do you know the names of any of the people that told you that?" Eridan nods and tells Karkat the names of the main persecutors. Karkat just nods and memorizes them for later. He might not rant to Eridan, but he sure as hell will yell and rant to those fuckers. For now though, he fixes Eridan's winged eyeliner.
