‘INK’TOBER DAY 14
Okay so these have a story to them....
As anyone who knows me in person can tell you, I take great pride in giving EXTREMELY elaborate Christmas cards and presents. One year I sent out wax-sealed scrolls, one year I made everyone a custom tea blend with custom artwork, one year I wrote an entire choose-your-own adventure.
One year, I thought I’d make all my friends into patron saints of something meaningful to them and send them all Eastern Orthodox style icons of themselves.
That never happened. A year later I tried again in a slightly different format (less strict imitation of the rules of iconography, which I thought would make the project easier - it didn’t). This is far as I got either time.
I’ve basically given up on this present for the forseeable future but I’ve always felt kinda bad (like I’m keeping something back that’s not really mine) for sitting on these two even only partially finished renditions of @erikathestranger. So here’s the perfect excuse to finally share them. Hope you like my girl, I’ve done right by you if this mediocre art communicates even a fraction of your true awesomeness to the world.
