"I think the saddest thing is when you get used to the loneliness."
“THE AMERICAN DREAM”
Erin Macree | Eighteen | Record Shop Worker/Struggling Musician
+ sweet, talented, productive
- timid, scared, depressed
Growing up in a small town in Ireland, Erin never had a voice. She grew up in a huge family and was never given the opprotunity to do what she loved. Growing up in a rather poor area, her parents wanted her and her siblings to strive for reality, to find a job and a career path that would allow them to make money to survive. She was never encouraged to chase her dreams until she auditioned for the chorus in high school. Erin realized her love for music and stayed late every day in school to practice. She even began traveling into the city to preform in parks. There, she met American singer, Chris Keller, who promised her fame if she moved to the states. So, she finally decided to chase a dream and picked up and moved to his town in Tree Hill. Now, Erin's trying to find her voice. Chris got her a job in the record store and gives her free studio time, but it's been a year and she still hasn't gotten a bite. Despite how much she wants this for herself, she misses her friends and family back in Ireland terribly and feels completely alone out here in Tree Hill.
