How would you rate claw so far? I’m trying to decide if I want to get back into Wildbow’s writing.

Took a minute to get really sold on it, but as of the start of Arc 2 I am 100% all in. But then I always loved Vince Gilligan and to a lesser extent Guy Richie, and this is very much playing with the same sort of toybox?

Mia and Carson are both great though. (And it's kind f refreshing to have a protagonist whose, like, A Whole Adult)

A few. I don’t keep a running tally, that would be weird. Most of them weren’t serious, though.

Official reprimand but no real consequences. The blue in our group was completely horrified on my behalf, but Kiasu Avivei isn’t important enough for her to have had the leverage to make a difference there, although she did get the government of Unspecified Tourist Destination to pay all my medical bills.

Red warning! Do you think you'd have that reaction to reds if all of the reds you'd known about had been clean? I mean, pollution sensitivity happens cause it's pollution, but being grossed out by reds happens cause they're polluted. I guess this is all made up though, it could never actually happen, so probably not worth talking about if it grosses you out.

Never have I ever: soulmate fic?

going back in time to answer some asks for this meme...

I have not written it and I kind of struggle to conceptualize how I would, unless maybe it was leaning less on the traditional valence of "soulmate" and more on a sort of...bound together by fate, for good and/or ill, inextricably intertwined in a way that either borders on or is outright toxic. in which case songxuexiao or xuexiao would make a good candidate, potentially.

because that is kind of how they are - and I think this would be one where I would not make it a happy ending or remotely functional or even a real "romantic endgame" so much as, like. I'm thinking about a time loop that never ends and never resolves well but there's also no getting out of it for either of them, because no matter what they do they end up getting drawn together and combusting one way or another.

sounds kind of fun and crunchy, actually. filing it in the "maybe someday" folder.

this is another one where I'm so firmly on the line over whether I'd call my feelings about it shipping it or not shipping it, because mostly I haven't really thought about it that much except in passing? but I guess I'll ultimately land on the side of ship it even if it's only very casually, because it's closer to that than not

What made you ship it? it's messed up and full of bad vibes, what else do I really need in a thing in order to make me at least casually interested

What are your favorite things about the ship? probably the inevitable betrayal! no, but in all seriousness, it's someone being used while believing that they're involved in a partnership and that ultimately leading to a horrible death. seduction via pride and confidence. but also the nagging suspicion, apparently, (based on the three) that something is not right.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? not really? I don't think I ship it enough, or know enough about the ship as it exists in fandom, to have an unpopular opinion about it.
