Sasuke’s Frustration pt 2
A follow up to @jouissezduprintemps fic drabble Sasuke’s Frustration. We’re each other’s bad influence, really. Everyone was at least a few drinks in when Kakashi decided to bring up his new favorite story. “Hey birthday boy. You and your paramour aren’t being as sneaky as you think!” Itachi and Shisui both looked over at him. “What do you mean, Kakashi?” Itachi asked. Kakashi snorted. “Well. Your younger brother might have been quite upset about Shisui taking you away earlier. That’s not the best part, though.” Kakashi grinned evilly. “The best part is Naruto asking in complete earnestness if he didn’t know you were, and I quote, taking it up the ass!” He laughed so hard that he fell against Anko, who was howling with laughter. Tenzo sighed and rolled his eyes at both of them. Why were they his responsibility again. Shisui was laughing as well, but Itachi wore a disgruntled look. “Why does everyone assume Shisui tops?” He asked plaintively. The room dissolved into more laughter. When Shisui could breathe again, he said, “Anyone who thinks that obviously hasn’t seen you naked.” And took a drink for emphasis. *** Sasuke paced irritably. What was keeping Itachi? Poker night usually didn’t last this late. (Sasuke would never admit to lying awake until he heard Itachi come home.) It was probably Shisui’s fault, him and his stupid twenty-first birthday. Naruto’s words echoed in his head. “Dude… you really don’t know?” Sasuke growled, trying to chase Naruto’s voice and earnest expression away. He froze as he heard the door click and heavy footsteps in the hall. He moved into position, hands planted on his hips as he stood in front of Itachi’s door. Itachi’s footsteps sounded… wrong, somehow, and Sasuke hadn’t quite figured it out before Itachi rounded the corner. “You’re fucking kidding me,” Sasuke hissed quietly. An almost unconscious Shisui was draped across Itachi’s shoulders, face buried in Itachi’s neck as Itachi supported most of his weight. “Sasuke,” Itachi said, surprised the younger Uchiha was still up. “Would you mind getting the door?” “Get the door?” Sasuke echoed. “Get the door?” His volume was steadily rising. “Is it true, Aniki? Please tell me it isn’t true, that Naruto really is just an idiot.” There was a note of desperation in Sasuke’s voice. “Of course Naruto’s a bit of an idiot,” Itachi said soothingly. “What did he say this time?” “That you… that you and Shisui… that you’re ‘taking it up the ass’!” Sasuke was practically shaking by the time he got the words out. “Oh, that. Why does everyone assume I bottom?” Itachi grumbled. “Aniki,” Sasuke pleaded, “tell me he’s wrong. I need you to tell me he’s wrong. Please Aniki.” Itachi sighed in resignation. “I thought you’d figured it out by now,” he said. “Shisui and I are a couple.” “I hate this fucking family!” Sasuke shouted. “Fucking family,” Shisui giggled. “You bet I am!” Sasuke’s wordless shriek could have shattered glass.
Calling the Pack
Part of the Pack
To-Do
Fandom: Naruto Rating: T Pairing: Kakashi/Tenzo Summary: There are some interesting items on Tenzo’s to-do list. For all his calm and collected demeanor, Kakashi worried about absolutely everything. And his idea of ‘helping’ Tenzo prep for the team’s upcoming mission was anything but. He wasn’t sure who was more of a nuisance at this point, Kakashi or Naruto. The blond had lost interest in packing barely half an hour into the task. “Why do we have to be here?” Naruto whined. “It’s important that you know what gear we’re bringing in case you need to access it,” Tenzo said as patiently as he could manage. “But you know, Captain Yamato, why do I have to know?” Naruto tried again. “What if something happened to me, Naruto? What would you do then, if you didn’t know how to access any of our supplies, or what was on the scrolls versus in packs?” “I guess you have a point,” Naruto grumbled, plopping onto the floor to help Sakura organize the food pills. “You’re hovering,” he said mildly to Kakashi. “It was just a theoretical example.” He could tell that Kakashi didn’t appreciate his choice of illustration. Kakashi huffed, but moved away to help Sai with the tents. “Tenzo!” Anko called, cheerfully barging into the room without knocking. “I brought you the cold weather gear you asked for.” “It’s Yamato, he corrected automatically, fully aware that his team was watching the exchange with interest. “Thank you, Anko,” he said, adding the gear to the pile of equipment he intended to store on a summoning scroll. “So, can I ask where you’re going?” Anko asked, leaning against the doorframe. Apparently she had no intention to leave anytime soon. Tenzo sighed. “Sorry, Anko, not this time. But standard procedure, if we make it back alive I should be able to tell you.” “Don’t die, you’re my best source of gossip,” Anko said. Tenzo snorted. “I thought that was Genma?” “You’re better with details,” Anko said, “Genma’s better with drama.” “That’s because Genma creates drama,” Tenzo said. Anko shrugged. “Eh. Whatever works.” “Ten- Captain Yamato, did you update the first aid kits?” Kakashi asked from across the room. “It’s on my to-do list, Senpai, just like you,” Tenzo called back, never taking his eyes from his work. The room went completely silent. Tenzo glanced up, noting that everyone’s full attention was on him. The tiniest smirk twitched at the corner of his mouth. Chaos erupted. Naruto started wailing, covering his face with his hands. “I can’t unhear that!” He squawked. “I need to sanitize my brain! Why would you do this to me, Captain Yamato?” Sakura gaped at Tenzo, mouth opening and closing, but no sound came out. Anko laughed so hard she slid down the wall. “Get it, Tenzo!” She cheered. Tenzo ignored them, making direct eye contact with Kakashi instead. His one visible eye was wide, and Tenzo could see the blush creeping up from behind his mask. “Everyone go home,” Kakashi said, voice squeaking slightly. “We’re done for the day. Tenzo and I have things we need to do.”
Brothers in Arms
Merry Christmas @jouissezduprintemps! I should probably wait to post this, but I'm too excited, so here you go. It's just a short little thing, but I hope you enjoy it! Fandom: Naruto Words: 628 Rating: Gen Summary: Shisui doesn't die, and he and Itachi both join the Akatsuki. Konan closed her eyes and sighed. Why did they think the hideout was a good place for this? Opening her eyes, she strode into the middle of the battling Uchihas. They faltered, shocked that anyone would calmly step into the middle of their fight. Her hands flashed out, catching them both by the ears. Shisui let out an undignified Yelp, and Itachi winced as Konan yanked them both down until they were looking her in the eyes. “What have I told you about this whole ‘who is stronger’ competition in the hideout?” Konan asked, her voice calm. Shisui’s one good eye dropped to the floor. Itachi was suddenly fascinated by the ceiling. Konan tugged their ears again. “Not to do it,” Shisui muttered. Itachi nodded, and Konan let go of their ears. “Go find something useful to do,” she ordered. “Yes, mom,” Shisui said with a borderline dangerous amount of snark. Konan smacked him on the back of the head, a gesture more fond than threatening. Itachi picked their abandoned robes off the floor, handing Shisui’s back to him. Shisui slung the robe around his shoulders, and Itachi rolled his eyes. “Wear your robe like a normal person. You don’t have to be so dramatic all the time.” “Red, black, and dramatic are my aesthetic,” he said, striking a pose. Itachi groaned and rolled his eyes again. “Are you at least ready for tomorrow’s mission?” He asked. “Like I would be unprepared for a mission infiltrating Konoha,” Shisui scoffed. “You haven’t started packing at all, have you?” “Nope, not a thing!” Shisui said cheerfully. Itachi dragged his cousin deeper into the hideout, presumably to pack for their mission. “What the hell is going on with those two?” Deidara asked Kakuzu, who was tallying the results of the betting pool he had going on Itachi and Shisui’s sparring match. He’d done quite well, as his money had been on Konan all along. Kakuzu just grunted and continued counting. Deidara huffed in frustration. “We all ask ourselves that,” Hidan said from his position sprawled on the ground, using his scythe as a pillow. “Shisui came first, missing an eye and looking like a drowned rat. I don’t know what he said to Pein, but they let him stay. Now this is where it gets interesting. Shisui vanishes for a couple days, and when he finally shows back up, he’s got Itachi in tow and this crazy story about killing their entire clan. They’ve been members of the Akatsuki ever since,” Hidan said without ever opening his eyes. “Why are they on the same team?” Deidara asked. “I mean ignoring whatever is going on with them personally…” “Oh, we all ignore that,” Hidan said. “... Wouldn’t it make more sense to split them up? Spread the Sharigan out a bit?” “Yep, it would.” Hidan said. “They tried it. But the Uchihas wouldn’t have it. Threw an absolute fit. And have you ever seen the devastation of a genjutsu fit? Let alone two?” Deidara shook his head “No, I haven’t.” “You don’t want to. It was an absolute disaster,” Hidan said, finally opening his eyes to get his point across. “We don’t split the Uchihas.” Deidara thought about that for a moment. “Are we really sending them on a mission to their own village?” He asked. “I mean, they know it best, but aren’t they more likely to get caught?” “Former Konoha police force and former ANBU. They know how to keep a low profile, and how to get around the village’s protections. They’re supposed to see if they can get ahold of the nine-tails Jinchuriki.” Hidan draped his arm across his eyes again. “But knowing those two, I wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow came back with Itachi’s kid brother as well.”
