his phone screen lights up barely moments after he’s done panicking over a careless double tap. why were such applications always such a pain to use? the push notification is read— many times over— he can hardly believe it. she must receive countless likes and comments, so why and how— mouth open wide now, jaw hanging lose in a way that’s uncharacteristic of him, he stares at the device with glazed eyes. the screen goes dark and he’s still holding it tightly between his fingers, quietly horrified. it lights up only moments after, “eriseu has started following you.” he tries not to throw his phone away.
