System of a Down came out with new music for the first time in 15 years so I have been listening to Genocidal Humanoidz on repeat all day.
Illustrated cards for the provinces of the Russian Empire (published in St. Petersburg 1856). Each card presents an overview of the province's history, geography, culture and economics. The front depicts distinguishing features such as rivers, mountains, and major cities and industries. The back shows a map of the province, the provincial seal, information about the population, and a picture of the local dress of the inhabitants.
The cards shown here are the guberniyas (governorates) of Tiflis, Kutais, Erivan, Baku (Shamakhi) and Derbent.

Seeing how I do not usually draw humans and have not drawn an original character of mine in over ten years, I decided to do some anatomy practice and see what kind of scars I should give him. Decided on manacle scars around his ankles from the repeated Russo-Iranian Wars before his annexation ultimately, and then the sun-shaped scar began forming in 1896 when the Ottomans started the initial massacres of their Armenian population. The sun scar reached the size seen above in 1914.
